Not sure how rare this is, but I encountered it today & got the whole outfit and 500 meat (I have passive +meat). :) --Exdeath 19:18, 17 July 2007 (CDT)

  • It isn't 100% drop. I think it completes your outfit, by looking at your inventory items. However it doesn't look at what you're wearing. I received the pants and the helmet, I had 2 polearms in inventory, so that didn't drop, but I was wearing the pants. I didn't have a helm yet. --MoreCurious 04:34, 21 July 2007 (CDT)
  • I don't think that can be right. I got all 3 drops with a character who had hagnks completely emptied, and I'm pretty damn sure at least one of the items would have been in there. Maybe it's merely a very high drop rate? --Starwed 04:42, 21 July 2007 (CDT)

    • That must have been what happened, I must have missed the pickpocket of the helmet. I started a spade thread in the forums and Jick chimed in, 100% drop drops no matter what.--Sp8z 23:47, 24 May 2008 (CDT)
Jick didn't actually address your question directly at all, since he didn't comment on how the Captain's drop rate works, just the general issue of 100% drops. However, all signs point to it being a flat 100% drop rate, since:
  • It isn't effected by -item%.
  • It can be pickpocketed, which isn't the case for other known conditional drops.
  • No one else can duplicate the behavior you thought you saw.

I don't think the 274-300 meat range is correct. In fact, it can't be. I have 0% meat drop increase when I got this adventure and received 314 meat.--Remnant 03:11, 22 January 2008 (CST)
