It looks like you can't turn Object-class Monsters into Horde minions. Confirm? --Andyzero 19:06, 18 August 2012 (CEST)
- It also appears you can't turn Category:Demons either. They do still recieve plague damage. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Tainted Food Product (talk • contribs) on 22:04, 18 August 2012
- Nevermind. I just successfully turned an CH Imp. It looks like for higher level monsters you need to bite them multiple times. Changing the page to reflect this. I'm assuming this holds true for Objects as well. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Tainted Food Product (talk • contribs) on 16:18, 19 August 2012
- I have tried multiple times with all kinds of object monsters. Crappy Brain and Good Brain drops. Unless someone has turned an object, I'm gonna put it in. --Andyzero 21:22, 19 August 2012 (CEST)
- I've noticed elementals don't seem to be zombifiable (tested on grass and BASIC elementals). Claw foot bathtubs get the plague, but don't zombify, so as far as I can tell you're right about objects.--Noskilz 22:53, 19 August 2012 (CEST)
- Nope, it's not multiple Infectious Bites that do it. I've set Infectious Bite as auto-attack, and then used just stunning items and Plague Claws. Result: I got minions out of high-level monsters without biting them multiple times. --Pontifex 12:16, 20 August 2012 (CEST)
- I'm pretty sure that the 'Anger of the Zombie' skill tree has abilities which change infectious bite. Looks like Plague Claws and Virulence both affect the zombie turning mechanic. But I'm doing a different tree. I've just got the vanilla Infectious Bite, and I'm pretty sure that multiple bites are necessary.--Tainted Food Product 20:45, 20 August 2012 (CEST)

Plants don't seem to be zombifiable - at least I haven't had any join up.--Noskilz 22:58, 19 August 2012 (CEST)
- I haven't been able to turn slimes, either. I have turned hobos, hippies, beasts, humanoids, goblins and undead. —Yendor 06:31, 20 August 2012 (CEST)
I wouldn't be sure about the damage equation for multiple opponents type encounters, At level 5 I was dealing 5 damage per turn to knob guards, which went up to 10 and 15 with plague claws. This supports the existing equation, but the knob lice took a 5-8-10-13 progression I will be sure to pay attention to the series of random encounters when I make it to the airship.--Loys 21:10, 22 August 2012 (CEST)
Mechanic Spading
- Is it maybe what portion of their HP was dealt as "infection damage"? That seems to be the strongest correlation to me. More damage of their total HP done as infection = higher chance of turning. Makes flavor sense, too. Lilac 07:46, 25 August 2012 (CEST)
- Well, I just killed the Knob Goblin King by biting him once, and then letting the infection damage kill him. It did turn him, so maybe you're on to something. No +ML, one bite. He died on Round 11. --Tainted Food Product 18:22, 25 August 2012 (CEST)
- Looks like if you do 50% or more of their Max HP in infection damage, they will be turned. I'm pretty confident in this figure. I experimented with 17 different monsters from the Level 6 and 7 quests, so mostly demons and undead. I'm guessing it holds true for other monster types and levels, but I'm out of turns for today. --Tainted Food Product 20:37, 25 August 2012 (CEST)
- You said "Enemies will be turned if they have taken infection damage greater than 50% of their maximum HP by the time the fight ends." Should that be something along the lines of "by the time you win the fight" or do you still get a zombie if you seriously mess someone up but get beaten or take too long? --AtGNAT 15:59, 10 September 2012 (CEST)
