Talk:High-Ranking Warbear Officer

This monster seems to reduce all damage to 15 (tested with spells, melee skills, normal attacks and combat items) and is accompanied by a drone that deals quite a bit of elemental damage each round (sleaze [9 Resistance] was 150 for me, spooky [5 Resist] was 333). Neither the Warbear nor the drone can't be staggered. It is defeat-able with only a single source of additional elemental damage but if you don't can heal yourself for quite a lot multiple times per combat you should boost your Prismatic damage to 15. Right now the Ultracolor™ shirt seems like the best way to do that. --Yatsufusa (talk) 21:51, 16 December 2013 (UTC)

Stats seem to be 150 x (1.05 ^ Kills) +/- 10% for each stat (Att, Def, HP).
All have a base cap of 10% of the HP value (rounded down).
After 10 fights, delevellers stop working.
Sometimes they have double usual HP, regardless of type. In these cases damage cap is based on the HP before doubling, so is effectively 5% of HP unless type reduces it further.
Warbear base damage is 40-50% of player max HP, rising 5% per fight. It is increased from this when their Attack exceeds the character's Moxie.
Warbear and initial environmental damage is Supercold and is reduced by DA, DR and Supercold resistance.
Drone damge is reduced only by the appropriate resistance (which is DA for the Buzzsaw).

They have an extra trait each:

Agile - Double Def
Speed Boosted - Gets Jump, and (usually) double or triple HP for High-Ranking Officers (does NOT increase cap to 10% of higher value)
Hardened - Reduced damage from Elemental damage (approx. 1% of HP)
Heavily-Armoured - Damage cap reduced to 3% of HP (rounded down)
Vicious - Double Att
Poly-Phasic - Reduced damage from Physical damage (approx. 1% of HP)

They usually have Drones to help:

Environmental Control Drone - Does 25% of character max HP in supercold damage per round
Buzzsaw Drone - Does 25% of character max HP in physical damage per round
Medical Drone - Heals 10% of HP per round
Electrical Maintenance Drone - Drains 12% of max MP per round
Welding Drone - Does 25% of character max HP in hot damage per round
Sewer Drone - Does 25% of character max HP in stench damage per round
Mortuary Drone - Does 25% of character max HP in spooky damage per round
Refridgeration Drone - Does 25% of character max HP in cold damage per round
Toxic Processing Drone - Gives turns of Really Quite Poisoned each round
Massage Drone - Does 25% of character max HP in sleaze damage per round

Drop weirdness

I just got 5 whosits, but only had one +war bear items modifier. screenshot. --Coderanger (talk) 21:47, 25 December 2013 (UTC)

  • i was shot down for suggesting that the +items might be calculated per whosit. this seems to prove it. the chance would be vanishingly small (1 in 10k) but enough people are doing it to get at least one. you shouldn't have gotten five, though. were you wearing any +items equipment? --Evilkolbot (talk) 22:16, 25 December 2013 (UTC)
