Just my thinking, but maybe increases the damage absorption of your pants? --Jimfromtx 07:25, 2 September 2011 (CEST)

  • I don't know, my speculation was that it would improve turtle tamer pants attacks, like Kneebutt. --Club (#66669) (Talk) 07:35, 8 September 2011 (CEST)

Checked to see if DA is effect, but gremlin damage was consistent with and without the effect.--Foggy 23:18, 8 September 2011 (CEST)

there was a bug, with how both too legit, and Tao affected pants DA before. It has since been fixed. Spading results are as followes... --Darkwolf 21:24, 14 September 2011 (CEST)

Too legit potion spading effect

Level 46 with 0 DA skills, no TAO. Moxie 1459 Location Gremlins. (vegtible gremlin every time)

base line testing (in his pants): 0 DA: 38 35 39 38 33 33 33 34 41 35 33 40 42 39 36 33 40 33 37 41 33 37 34 34 (33-41) 40 DA: 36 36 34 32 30 31 38 33 31 36 30 36 33 33 32 34 35 37 38 30 36 36 31 (30-3 90 DA: 32 31 29 28 33 34 33 28 33 32 32 28 32 30 30 27 34 32 28 29 33 33 31 30 (27-34) 165 DA: 25 25 25 27 27 23 26 26 28 25 30 23 24 23 30 23 24 26 23 26 26 29 (23-30)

Too Legit testing (in his pants): 0 DA: 33 36 38 35 38 38 42 36 33 35 36 42 41 40 39 38 34 41 36 36 34 42 40 (33-42) 40 DA: 29 26 30 28 28 24 25 26 28 29 25 25 24 27 26 27 24 27 30 27 (24-30) 90 DA: 21 21 19 21 20 20 18 19 19 17 17 20 19 21 20 19 19 20 20 19 18 17 21 (17-21) 165 DA: 11 10 10 12 11 13 10 12 13 10 13 10 11 10 12 10 11 11 10 12 12 (10-13)

Change in % (in his pants): 0 DA: 100% damage (33-42 range) 40 DA: (8-9% / 30-38 range) vs (26-27% / 24-30) 90 DA: (17%-18% / 27-34 range) vs (48%-50% / 17-21 range) 165 DA: (27-31%) vs (70%)

So without Too legit we see a 10% DA gain at each DA mark, which is expected. (0, 10, 20, 30 approx).

With Too legit we see a much larger gain then expected (0, 27%, 50%, 70%). Seeing as it should take more DA to get those larger values... according to the wiki chart this works out to...

Actual / expected DA 0%: DA 0 / DA 0 27%: DA 40 / DA 140 50%: DA 90 / DA 360 70%: DA 165 / DA 640

So except for the 27% DA value we saw in the 40 DA test... To legit Quadruples (x4!!!) pants DA. --Darkwolf 21:24, 14 September 2011 (CEST)

Has anyone tested the effects it has on Kneebutt yet? Qaianna 00:01, 4 October 2011 (CEST)

Also, what is the interaction with Tao? Additive or multiplicative? I'd wager Tao is effectively +100%, this is +300%, so it would be +400%, or 500% of base total. --Jimfromtx 07:23, 20 December 2011 (CET)

My justification for asserting it's additive - assuming that I've correctly worked out the formula for Vanity Rage, which I'm pretty sure I have, with Tao and Hammertime, wearing just the Brimstone Boxers, I have +70 damage from Rage, which fits with 1000 total power in clothes. If it were multiplicative, I should have +110 damage, for having 1600 power in clothes. All the other tests I did with Hammertime active fit the x5 formula. --Johnny Treehugger 17:34, 5 January 2012 (CET)

Pants with bonus DA

Let's say you've got pants that have +DA in addition to the DA provided by their power. Does this quadruple the bonus DA, or just the DA from their power? For example, with corroded breeches and hammertime, and no other source of DA, will you have 850 DA or 1000 DA? --YellFeat 17:37, 7 March 2012 (CET)

Using Vanity Rage as my touchstone, with Tao and Hammertime, wearing nothing but black greaves, if the bonus DA is not multiplied, I would have 830 DA, thus +60 from VR. If it is multiplied, I would have 950 DA, thus +70 from VR. Checking just now, I got +60 from VR, so bonus DA appears not to be multiplied, though I can't guarantee that this works the same way everywhere. --Johnny Treehugger 18:14, 7 March 2012 (CET)
DA not from the power of your equipment doesn't affect Vanity Rage, so, just forget that whole thing. I'm changing my answer to "probably not but I can't prove it". --Johnny Treehugger 18:27, 7 March 2012 (CET)

Bug

There's a bug related to this effect - it doesn't seem to take into effect until you change the pants you equip, and possibly change your outfit. RegalStar 14:45, 21 March 2012 (CET)

Time Trousers

Anybody have any clue as to what this potions effects are on the Time Trousers? Ravenous Muffin 07:27, 5 July 2012 (CEST)

Er... I don't have a pair of Time Trousers to test, but, most likely, it increases their power to 400? Is there something in particular you're hoping will happen? --Johnny Treehugger 22:52, 5 July 2012 (CEST)
Presumably he is interested in Hammertime and extra rollover adventures. I doubt there is a benefit there. --Club (#66669) (Talk) 02:12, 6 July 2012 (CEST)
