Can someone tell me why the booze templet I copy and pasted from the editing talk forum didn't work?

  • because nowiki tags mean no wiki, the wiki won't evaluate within those tags and leaves text as is, oh and sign your comments, there is a button above which says "your signature with timestamp". --JRSiebz 19:13, 25 Jun 2005 (Central Daylight Time)
  • and you removed the categories, don't do that, i had to put them back in. --JRSiebz 19:14, 25 Jun 2005 (Central Daylight Time)

Google translates the German "Fluchtweg Wecker" into "Escape route bell". If it's a joke, I don't get it. --Crowther 16:48, 9 Nov 2005 (MST)

"Flechtweide" is a kind of willow, which is used to make baskets and the like. It translates to "wicker", which sounds similar to "Wecker", which means "alarm clock". So, "the Flechtweide Wecker vineyards" is the "wicker alarm clock vineyards", which doesn't mean anything. Mabye the joke is the "wicker"/"Wecker" one. Maybe there's no joke at all, and they just are using something that sounds German, knowing that German wines have the reputation to not be too bad, but not exactly world-class, which helps distinguish the "fine wine" from the worse "mad train wine", the better mushroom wines and the excellent Mafia wines. --Zerotonine 04:03, 13 March 2006 (CST)

I bought 11 of these at the mall, and under the message it said, "That's not even funny. Seriously." What is that from?--Clegs 20:54, 30 April 2007 (CDT)

  • Eleven. You know, like the big red warning says on the Edit Article page - "Are you adding a funny message from getting 11, 23, or 37 of an item at once? DON'T - we already know about it." --Quietust (t|c) 21:09, 30 April 2007 (CDT)
