It is now: "Cannot be traded" I imagine I could just put it in the wiki but I'm still new to the community so I don't want to step on any toes. --MallaLubba 08:39, 25 June 2007 (CDT)

Has anyone tried using the new post-quest dictionary against the Naughty Sorceress?

- Uzziah

  • I remember trying the original dictionary on the NS with a multi not too long after ascension was released, and she blocked it and took it away. The new one is supposed to work exactly the same way as the original when used. --Zaku 18:52, 27 Oct 2005 (MDT)

The post-quest dictionary no longer seems to be a quest item. Veistran (11/9/05 17:46GMT)

Rearding the autosell price: I remember that in the past, the Baron would 'shower you in thanks, and thanks you with showers', or something like that. 21337 spells sleet, which could be deemed to be a shower of meat... At least this was the reference that stood out to me. Now of course, the text has been changed, but the meat reward is obviously grandfathered in, as changing it would affect the difficulty of ascension runs. (And I managed not to say it....) —Changling Bob

FYI: I just added that old 'showers you' message to the 64735 scroll page. Enjoy. --Club (#66669) (Talk) 14:16, 25 May 2007 (CDT)

Ehhmm... How come I have one of these in my inventory as a level 5 sauceror (in Hardcore)? Surely that must be a bit strange since I have not yet reached the baron and it still says I have gotten it as a copy of the one I used there... --Winterbay 05:44, 26 June 2007 (CDT)

I'm a level 5 HCO seal clubber and found 2 dictionaries in my inventory when I logged in this morning.

Strange. --Managwa 05:34, 30 June 2007 (CDT)

It's now a quest item, so everything in your store, closet and Hagnks was dumped into your inventory. Nice one-time bonus for HC/HCO folks. I ended up with 3. --Harik 19:41, 30 June 2007 (CDT)

  • It's not a quest item, just no-trade. Which means, any that were in stores when that changed got inventory-ejected, regardless of run type.--Emtu 11:22, 13 July 2007 (CDT)

Ha ha ha. That's funny. See, I had ten. And I still do, but they're in Hagnk's. I'm in oxycore, and for some reason I never got them. Any ideas as to why this is/this happen to anyone else? --Santasassassin 00:00, 4 July 2007 (CDT)

Several times now on my characters I've had the facsimile dictionary disappear from my inventory when using it to fight monsters (or to not fight them, so to speak.) Up until today, it's always been when I used it in some other place, but today it happened when I was using it on the monsters in the Valley Beyond the Orc Chasm, during bounty-hunting directly after finishing the Orc Chasm quest. Has anyone else seen this phenomenon, that the dictionary seems to get used up after a certain number of uses? --Frosty Beverage 11:20, 1 October 2007 (CDT)

Pants

If the Facsimile dictionary meat smiths into the Sword behind inappropriate prepositions by Super-Advanced Meatsmithing, a fez of etomology by normal meatsmithing, could there be a pants made by Armorcraftiness? I mean like seal clubber can make the sword, the other classes can make the hat, could the turtle tamers have a 'Facsimile dictionary pants'? Just kinda like a random guess--TehChozenOne 09:30, 6 February 2008 (CST)

The item doesn't exist, but it could be fun. "Smarty pants" perhaps? There is probably still a make-a-kol thread on the forums, that would be the place to suggest it, but I loathe the forums, so I'm not going to do that. --Club (#66669) (Talk) 18:46, 6 February 2008 (CST)

Has anyone ever actually tried? Also, I "loathe" the kingdom...hey wait... --Plater (t|c) 21:59, 6 February 2008 (CST)

Bonerdagon

The Bonerdagon never blocks this, according to his page - but this page says it will vanish if it's blocked by either the NS or BD. Which one's right? --Wrldwzrd89 17:44, 20 March 2011 (UTC)

Highest autosell?

Same autosell as the gilded BRICKO chalice. Anyone cares enough to add that in, or is it a moot point? —Preceding unsigned comment added by Albino Toad (talkcontribs) on 16:03, 2011 November 2

  • It's not very relevant to this item. There was a time when gift shop items sold for half their cost, so red balloons went for 50k. If we did note it here, that might become wrong later. It is included in Items by autosell price. --Club (#66669) (Talk) 02:05, 3 November 2011 (CET)
    • Well yes, but the wiki page states that "it has the highest autosell price of all items" and the gilded chalice says nothing. They share the price, so something should be at least put on the gilded chalice page about sharing the highest autosell price, along with the facsimile dictionary. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Albino Toad (talkcontribs) on 23:28, 2011 November 2

The page doesn't say "highest autosell price of all items", it says "highest possible autosell price". Given that the chalice currently sells for about 7 million in the mall -- over 300 times more than autosell price -- I don't think it is useful to note autoselling it as a strategy. --Club (#66669) (Talk) 20:39, 3 November 2011 (CET)
