+1X? What is X? The level? What does it mean +somthing and not *something? Could someone please explain what does it do to the critical hit chance?

  • It means "one times". It's a small increase in the odds. And since we're dealing with percentages, +% is dramatically different than *% Mr. Blonde 05:13, 20 April 2006 (CDT)
    • If I remember right a normal critical hit chance is 1 in 11. so +1X means a 2 in 11 chance. Of cource Eye of the Stoat is +1X half of the time. So if an item gave +3X critical hit. It'd mean you'd have a 4 in 11 chance of a critical hit. So every +1X critcal hit adds about another 9% chance of getting a crtical hit.--JRSiebz (|§|) 16:46, 15 July 2006 (CDT)

As I showed on the forum a while back, eye of the stoat does NOT mean you never miss with the LTS (or regular old TS) if you are wielding a staff and have the Pastamancer skill that calculates your chance of hitting based on mysticality instead of muscle - this is a very common misconception - if your mysticality isn't high enough to hit the monster, you will perfom the L/TS and miss - try it out if you don't believe me (and then update the Wiki) --Disaronno 18:59, 15 July 2006

With HP EotS and HP TS, I missed 3 Thrust smacks in a row today against a Protagonist. Something is up. For reference, I'm currently a level 10 DB. My gear is Stainless Steel Skullcap, Pitchfork, Boss bat britches, Cape of the Goblin King, Bonerdagon necklace, Hamethyst necklace, Snarling wolf shield, and I have a 28 lb Penguin goodfella as a familiar. --McDutchy 17:22, 25 June 2007 (CDT)

I'll go ahead and put my money down that the new effect is "+15% Muscle, for to-hit computation only, if using TS/LTS". Yes, this does imply that I am wagering that it doesn't help if you're also using a non-Muscle to-hit ability. Let the spading begin! --Jonrock 01:56, 26 June 2007 (CDT)

I think that's quite possible, though perhaps it's a little better than +15% Muscle, because I noticed I needed an additional 30% muscle to hit some monsters all the time and that's what I got. Maybe it's even a standard number, which I'm thinking is 30. --Korlon 17:12, 26 June 2007 (CDT)

Jick's stated on the Radio Show that EoTS and TS/LTS work better for Seal Clubbers than other classes. Anyone know that the difference is? --Jekostas 14:13, 9 October 2007 (CDT)
