Damage estimate
- With a muscle of 483, damage was, ~350-360 +~350-360 (from original page)
- With a muscle of 683/680, damage was 338 (334) (my own)
- WIth a muscle of 684/681, damage was 366 (326) (my own)
- With a muscle of 1146, damage was 835 +867. (from original page)
- With a muscle of 4129, damage was 2053 (2057).

With a buffed muscle of...
- 8, the damage was always 4 (+4), over a 10 cannonball period.
- 10, the damage data was 4 (+5), 5 (+5), 4 (+5), 5 (+5), 5 (+5), 5 (+4), 5 (+5), 5 (+4), 5 (+5), 4 (+5).
- 20, the damage data was 10 (+9), 9 (+10), 10 (+10), 10 (+10), 10 (+11), 9 (+11), 10 (+9), 11 (+9), 11 (+10), 10 (+9).
- 35, the damage data was 16 (+18), 18 (+17), 18 (+18), 16 (+17), 17 (+17), 18 (+16), 18 (+19), 17 (+17), 18 (+17), 17 (+17).
Interestingly, using the cannonball with a buffed muscle of 1 causes the item to malfunction, doing "%dmg" damage.--GoldS 13:44, 9 December 2007 (CST)

- Added another datapoint. The front page doesn't explain it correctly...the two numbers certainly don't add up to your buffed muscle in all cases.--Foggy 09:05, 10 December 2007 (CST)
- With a Vivala mask equipped, and with 2000 buffed muscle, I saw this thing do 1612 (+1524) and 1536 (+1386) damage. As expected, the mask does work right. I'm surprised how little attention these items are getting in regards to basement diving (do any of the monsters there block combat items?)--GoldS 15:45, 12 December 2007 (CST)

Could The Cannonball Description, "cannonball from a cursed cannon, from the cursed deck of a cursed ship" be a reference to the opening cut-scene in The Curse of Monkey Island pc game by LucasArts where LeChuck blows himself up with a cursed cannonball? --TURBOjew 21:19, 22 February 2008 (CST)
