My guess is that this item is related to the recently-discovered On Pins and Needles effect. Perhaps using it causes a random other player (Non-Ronin etc.) to receive said effect? --Cait 21:11, 14 April 2011 (UTC)
I appear to be the only person with the recipe at the moment. I think you are right about the effect - it appears to be random - it doesn't seem to focus on clanmates or people on my friends list as far as I can tell. - Ah, I didn't see this until I'd had my shower and used my doll today, with some 30-odd turns between them. I didn't get jabbed today. I've only (apart from the first day) been taking Hot showers. - Well, one of my multis used a voodoo doll from the mall and instantly got On Pins and Needles. The curious thing there is this multi doesn't have a VIP lounge key, so no possibility of it being April Shower related. Not ruled out is it being Haunted Bathroom related. - Tried that today. Adventured in the Bathroom, fought and beat a Hair Clog and got the Gob drop, used my Doll immediately after, and... no effect on me. I don't think anyone else from my clan was about at the time, so it seems that the effect isn't simply linked to recency of either Bathroom use or Hair Clog combat. Apparently HC cannot receive the buff, so I am assuming that being in Ronin cannot either. This is how i tested: I joined my friend's clan. He is in HC and is the only person in his clan. I (not in HC) used the doll, but neither of us received the effect. Hence, I am 99% sure that HC players cannot receive the buff. Yay, conclusion? --Xiexingwu 07:49, 30 April 2011 (UTC)
I'm in a small clan (2 members neither of whom are in HC or Ronin) and using the doll gives neither players the On Pins and Needles effect. It is not clan related. --Sir Ike 23:09, 1 May 2011 (UTC)
I got the effect in Bad Moon and I've only been in the haunted bathroom for a couple of adventures this run and it wasn't recently. I don't know if I got a shower adventure, but I remember fighting a bath tube.
