0-karma items

The most powerful items seem to be valued at 0 karma. I wouldn't think they can be taken without constraints, so is there something like a toggle for every player to allow or disallow taking 0-karma items? --Groli 10:24, 24 August 2007 (CDT)

Yeah, there's a limit to how many 0-karma items can be removed from the Clan Stash by any given player per day.

Karma values?

I have always been in clans where I was karma exempt until now... can someone describe to me how the clan karma system works? maybe some good items to donate to up karma? (meat stacks come to mind as a good item for karma donation)

I have an absurd number of items which sell in the mall for 1k meat, would these give me ~1k karma? is there an approximate ratio of estimated value or autosell vs +karma?

also is there a metadata value for this? is there a list somewhere that can help me? any input appreciated! --Silent Knight 02:14, 29 October 2009 (UTC)

Based off what happens in my clan... items donated to the stash that are not store buyable or made from meat give karma on a 1 karma : 1 autosell value basis. Items purchasable from stores or made from meat (ie things like dense meat stacks) give karma at the rate your clan sets. My clan sets 1 karma : 2 meat donated, so a dense meat stack corresponds to 500 karma, but a really dense meat stack (which cannot be made/store'd) gives 5000 karma. So the karma value of items is either their autosell value or, if store-bought or meat-makeable their autosell value affected by the meat:karma ratio your clan sets. Meat donated right to the coffer also follows the meat:karma value your clan sets. --Lordebon 13:55, 29 October 2009 (UTC)

Cannot Be Discarded

So up until now everything I've donated that cannot be discarded has been 0 karma (as you would expect: no auto-sell so zero) including a bunch of paperclips I donated the other day. However, when I donated a few more paperclips today I got 10 karma each, and sure enough checking in the stash shows them as 10 karma items (though they still cannot be discarded and thus have no auto sell price). Is this an entirely new thing, or are there other such items that do this (even pretty flowers are 0 karma). I was commenting the other day that paperclips didn't seem like good enough items to count as 0 karma, but I didn't think Jick heard me. --NeoTrup 04:43, 30 December 2010 (UTC)

I also noticed clovers (in both forms) cannot be discarded but are worth 100 karma. --NeoTrup 07:31, 31 December 2010 (UTC)
