Missing Choice Adventures
My concerns. --JRSiebz (☎|§|‡) 22:08, 5 September 2006 (CDT)

Is it "Finger-Lickin'... Death." or "Finger-Lickin'... Death" in-game? -
Darker Than Dark, How Depressing. and On the Verge of a Dirge probably should be split from the Heart of Very, Very Dark Darkness.... done. -
The Violet Fog probably needs to be changed to Violet Fog (Enterance text and Adventure list), with its adventures listed: The Big Scary Place [split into (1),(2),(3)? or just all on one page?], The Prince of Wishful Thinking [split into (1),(2),(3)? or just all on one page?], and She's So Unusual [split into (1),(2),(3)? or just all on one page?]. Then maybe all the untitled fog adventures could be on one page?... in progress. -
Need Sewer Luck! path, as I think it has its own path.- "sewer.php" is used throughout.--Dehstil (t|c) 17:55, 6 September 2006 (CDT)
- I just checked to see what KoLMafia uses, and it's "luckysewer.php". --JRSiebz (☎|§|‡) 17:40, 7 September 2006 (CDT)
- Hmm, I turned on a HTTP monitor and the only urls that came up during the transaction were sewer.php and the sidebar. I'll double check.
Edit: Yup, sewer.php.--Dehstil (t|c) 18:05, 7 September 2006 (CDT)

#6 might be Darker Than Dark, which is part of the Heart of Very, Very Dark Darkness....it is. -
#26 A Three-Tined Fork may need forked off, adding separate pages for #27-29....done. -
The only other location having choice adventures not listed here that has a snarfblat (uses adventure.php, not using it's own like the daily dungeon or the basement, so probably uses choice.php) is the The Haiku Dungeon, specifically the eXtreme Challenge adventures (The Haiku Dungeon 1 - The Haiku Dungeon 5), but I do not have a character to check this with since you only can complete this once. Might be in 30-40 range. (the easiest way is to use the "see frame info" in FF and look at the "forms" tab, to inspect what the choice adventure form submits).- Also it'd take at least two different players to figure this out, since this challenge randomly selects 3 of 5 possible adventures in a random order, different for each player. --JRSiebz (☎|§|‡) 23:05, 13 September 2006 (CDT)
- The Haiku Dungeon itself uses adventure.php?snarfblat=16, but when the challenges come up they use haiku.php, and like the daily dungeon and the basement, do not have a choice adventure ID associated with them, only a yep. and the number of the choice are submitted via the form. --JRSiebz (☎|§|‡) 19:21, 18 November 2006 (CST)

The Knob Shaft (since it uses adventure.php) clover adventure (Junction in the Trunction) may have a choice adventure number.... it's #76. - Still need to check "choice type" adventures in Beyond the Pale, the challenges (single choices) in Fernswarthy's Basement, and the challenges and choice type adventures in The Daily Dungeon.
- The basement and the daily dungeon both use their own .php (not adventure.php) and do not submit/post a whichchoice value nor use choice.php. So figuring out their "numbers" is as impossible as figuring out the db ids of normal non-combat adventures or monster encounters. Without a "hidden" form val, access to view the real KoL db would be needed. --JRSiebz (☎|§|‡) 19:24, 16 September 2006 (CDT)
Need Melvil Dewey Would Be Ashamed from The Haunted LibraryNeed new Worm Wood choice adventures:
Should Choice Adventures Link Here?
Should the adventures listed on this page indicate that they're choice adventures and link back to this page: "This type of adventure offers 3 choices:" or "This adventure only occurs as a choice for ..."?--Dehstil (t|c) 18:01, 21 October 2006 (CDT)
- I not sure that we need to backlink adventures to this page - it would just confuse most people and make them wonder why combat adventures, etc. don't have the same thing. But really, this page (and all the by number pages) don't really have too much use except to a few high-tech users). But maybe we should have an umbrella page that lists all the types of things we have lists for (outfits, etc.) as well a some discussion of what we don't have (combat adventures, etc.) and why we don't/can't have them. I'm guessing this would be useful only for script writers, etc.? I'm not sure how far we want to go in this direction, but it's a thought. I think that we should have the "This adventure only occurs as a choice for ..." on the sub-adventure pages (obviously, not for the "parent" adventures listed on this page, but I think this is what you really meant :) ). --Gymnosophist 20:49, 21 October 2006 (CDT)
- Yeah, it was, but as a double whammy, we have a list of "choice adventures" but on the actual pages themselves, they don't indicate themselves as such. That's all.--Dehstil (t|c) 22:30, 21 October 2006 (CDT)
Page Breakup?
This article is getting rather long vertically. Should we break it up into 100 a page, like with items by number and effects by number?--GoldS 13:08, 25 January 2007 (CST)
- GoldS: I don't think it is unweildy yet, but maybe it should be formated like Areas by Number. --Club (#66669) (Talk) 17:15, 21 February 2007 (CST)
FWIW, the rat faucet (does that not have a page? I can't find one now) does NOT use the /choice.php page, but uses /rats.php. Also the NS quest has things that might look like choices (heavy door or light door, eg) but those, also, are not /choice.php controlled. --Club (#66669) (Talk) 17:15, 21 February 2007 (CST)
2 years later, it looks like we should probably do this. Nearly 400 choice adventures makes this a bit unwieldy.--Toffile 23:15, 3 June 2009 (UTC)
Category?
Should I create a Category: page for Choice adventures, as well? Seems like it would be useful, and this page is a little clunky to search. --TechSmurf 13:11, 30 May 2007 (CDT)
Method Not Implemented
I keep getting the following error when editing/previewing Choice Adventures by Number: "501 Method Not Implemented. POST to /thekolwiki/index.php not supported." It only happens on Choice Adventures by Number, which is odd. Is there something goofing up the html/form/post of this page? I previewed and saved this page fine, and previewed dummy changes on other pages just fine. Hmm. --JRSiebz (☎|§|‡) 21:59, 23 July 2007 (CDT)
- Absolutely bizzare - it's the word "Finger" in #4 that's doing it. --Quietust (t|c) 22:17, 23 July 2007 (CDT)
- I'm still getting " Method Not Implemented", also Arrrrbor Day adventure Timbarrrr! is 209. --JRSiebz (☎|§|‡) 23:36, 28 March 2008 (CDT)
