Talk:Chef's hat

I changed the description and enchantment, but playing with it, it seems that the bonus enchantments aren't actually working. Not sure if there's something about today that would do that. --lucasw 17:35, 19 May 2007 (CDT)

I just added the haunted pantry as a drop zone, since there's two ways of getting it there now in the Tresspasser choice adventures. You can get it by fighting the assistant chef or waiting it out and having a bit of luck. --Tripwood 16:41, 4 December 2006 (CST)

I saw the regen ability today and tried it out. The regen wasn't working, I reported it as a bug, and was told that the regen ability was typo'd (which is why it wasn't working) and shouldn't have been on the live servers anyway. The ability no longer shows on the item desc. Gront 19:13, 19 May 2007 (CDT)

Hat provides regen

The chef's hat doesn't say that it provides regen in the description, but I was definitely getting MP regen while adventuring today, and several forum posts seem to identify the hat as the reason for it. I was mostly at full MP except when my mysticality went up, so I didn't see how much the hat was giving me.--Lostcalpolydude 03:33, 31 May 2007 (CDT)

  • I can comfirm that this is still occuring as of right now. --Drab Emordnilap 08:44, 31 May 2007 (CDT)
  • Me too. 1 mp per turn. ManyFold 16:06, 1 June 2007 (CDT)
    • Sounds to me like Jick didn't completely roll this back. --Quietust (t|c) 16:30, 1 June 2007 (CDT)
      • I added this to the main page. If Jick completely rolls back the change, I don't know how that should be noted on the main page.--Lostcalpolydude 22:22, 1 June 2007 (CDT)
      • The effect got removed, so I updated that on the main page. If it should be written differently, then someone else should update it.--Lostcalpolydude 01:53, 2 June 2007 (CDT)
      • As of presently, Chef's Hat still not giving the mp regen, though the in-game description remains--Nineheadeddragon 21:32, 29 December 2007 (CST)

Can someone compile the odds of getting this?

I'm doing 6 bad moon runs and wanting to make a chef-in-the-box. I just want to know the most efficient place to adventure to get the chef's hat.

If only there was a page with this...You get it at the knob when you get the encryption key, while you're using a fairy, like you do everywhere.

Zombie drops

This item also used to drop from the Zombie Knob Goblin Assistant Chef during the Gray Plague, but this is not recorded in the "Obtained From" section. Shouldn't it be listed in an "Obsoleted Areas/Methods" subsection, like most other obsoleted items have? (e.g. Chunk of Depleted Grimacite) Actually, all of the zombies in Seaside Town 28 Days Later offered up the drops that their mundane non-zombie versions drop, but this is not recorded on the item pages. Is this by choice or oversight?--Quine 18:00, 21 May 2009 (UTC)
