Talk:Chamoisole
So, uh, how does one make this drop? - Mojotech
- It's a speed drop from Mother Slime, like the special Hodgman gear. Don't know the turn cutoff point for it though.--GoldS 02:42, 1 June 2009 (UTC)
- This is probably not the case. This was a regular drop, it was not a clan-dungeon distributable drop. My suspicion is that it's just rare, and your best bet for getting it to drop is a lot of +item% stuff. --MindlessGames 02:53, 1 June 2009 (UTC)
- Actually, it seems the speed rewards are NOT clan loot in this dungeon. One has already been confirmed (the alveolus). This is very frustrating in ways, as it means you have to trust your mother slime killer to honestly report what they got and then put it in the stash or something. --Flargen 03:12, 1 June 2009 (UTC)
- From the forums "Nope. We did an even faster run than the one we did get the chamoisole in, and both killers had torso, but the faster run didn't get the chamoisole."--Darkwolf 19:20, 3 June 2009 (UTC)

We got one for a 530 turn run, and not for a 538. This may be chance, or it may mean a 530 turn boundary. --Hippoking 13:07, 6 June 2009 (UTC)
I got one in a 583 turn run which had tickles and gall bladders, so those probably have no effect. I was running +511% item when I killed Mother Slime. If it is under 700 turns, then that's a possibility. It could also just be, as noted above, a rather rare drop. Perhaps a rare drop subjected to the turncount being below a certain threshold (assuming 700?). --MindlessGames 18:18, 7 June 2009 (UTC)
- Another run, 576 turns, +653% item, no chamoisole. --MindlessGames 21:31, 7 June 2009 (UTC)
- Another run, 571 turns, +717% item, got chamoisole. --MindlessGames 01:55, 8 June 2009 (UTC)
I acquired chamoixole on 631-turn and 634-turn runs, both with around +460% item drops. --Quietust (t|c) 18:32, 17 June 2009 (UTC)
Strange question, but maybe... It's only dropped on runs that were faster than normal. Could it be maybe that the trigger for it is having active ML of certain numbers on the Mother Slime? I mean, you don't need +ML to attack her [and in fact, it may be inadvisable -to- have +ML], but you do need +ML to get to her faster. --Val 01:18, 8 June 2009 (UTC)
- I doubt it.. last two times I killed her I had +10 ML active both times, got it one time, didn't get it another.--MindlessGames 01:55, 8 June 2009 (UTC)
I am wondering if it has to do with how many chamoix are left in the bucket when it's time to kill Mother Slime.--BlueElf 13:58, 28 June 2009 (UTC)
I would have to assume since the Chamoisole is made of chamoix then you'd need to have enough chamoix in the bucket, and since 100 chamoix make a big bundle of chamoix I would assume that number to be 100+, and of course you'd need to complete the tubes in a certain turn count or less. --Uzziah 01:14, 11 July 2009 (UTC)
- I'd suggest that you remember what they say about people who make assumptions. I've had a chamoisole drop when there was exactly 0 chamoix in the bucket. --Bale 07:03, 11 July 2009 (UTC)
I just want to chime in and agree with what seems to be the common sentiment: the chamoisole is probably just a regular item drop with a low chance of dropping. I've only done about a dozen runs (all slimeling runs with about 30 chamois left in the bucket) but with huge +item% (12-13 alveoli drop) I've been getting a 'sole every time. --Silent Knight 02:51, 29 March 2010 (UTC)
Torso
Torso Awaregness is not required for Mother Slime to drop this item. Don't know if that's worthy to put on the main page, but there it is. --MindlessGames 20:32, 10 June 2009 (UTC)
