Talk:Can of Rain-Doh

I added in information about the IotM being a reference to Green Lantern and emotional spectrum, referenced by colour: Red, Orange, Yellow, Green, Blue, Indigo, Violet - which is also how they come out of the can. Black is a reference to the Blackest Night crossover. This edit was deleted - even if it's a reference to a rainbow (and how would black be in a rainbow?), there's already allusions to Green Lantern in the items - is it so wrong to add this information in? • The link to Emotional Spectrum seems rather weak, which is probably why it was deleted. The order of the colors is the standard order of the rainbow (ROY G. BIV). The only real link I see is the Green Lantern, but that just seems like a coincidence. You could ask on the radio show if they could confirm if it is a reference or not. --Turing 21:41, 1 February 2012 (CET)
  • Lets see. Red kind of mentions rage, orange has nothing to do greed, yellow has nothing to do with fear, green is a reference, blue has nothing to do with hope, indigo has nothing to do with compassion, and violet has nothing to do with love.--Toffile 21:51, 1 February 2012 (CET)
For what it's worth, I'm pretty sure it is inspired by the emotional spectrum and meant to bring it to mind for those who know of it. Orange may not be much about greed (but didn't I see something about it taking meat?), but the item name has also been used by (or for?) the "champion" of the orange entity in the comics. And the black item is kinda (or exactly?) about making something live again.Notsupposedtobehere 21:16, 2 February 2012 (CET)
You might have something consisting of a point if Johns didn't life the name from an infamous herbicide. You're really trying to read too much into it.--Toffile 22:16, 2 February 2012 (CET)
Actually, I am aware of the herbicide and its history and I do think I still have a point. You might be right, but I certainly don't think it's clear-cut. Asking on the radio seems like a good idea. Notsupposedtobehere 11:42, 3 February 2012 (CET)

The Rain-Doh combat items (Orange Agent, Blue Balls, Indigo Cup, & Black Box) should be added to Category:Reusable Combat Items, however my wiki-fu isn't strong enough to figure out how to do that. Hopefully someone who does know will see this and make the update. --Xande 18:31, 10 January 2013 (CET)

  • Never mind me! I figured out how to do it, and made the necessary edits. --Xande 18:38, 10 January 2013 (CET)

No Hardcore

  • Currently, wiki says "This item cannot be equipped while in Hardcore." due to the template, but the in-game description actually says "This item cannot be used while in Hardcore." The template should be fixed to accommodate this. --Turing 21:41, 1 February 2012 (CET)
