Actually I think its more of a reference to the Ripper from Unreal Tournament and the strategy of shooting it straight down to kill yourself when an enemy captures your flag so that you respawn at your base and can retrieve it.--Doz 17:14, 2 August 2006 (CDT)

• Actually, the Ripper's alt-fire mode fired an explosive disc and used twice as much ammo as a regular Ripper shot. Plus, it would be possible to create explosive ammo for the can cannon (two razor-sharp can lids plus a Knob Goblin frecracker). --PFC Walker 07:22, 13 April 2007 (CDT)
