Talk:Brother Corsican's Blessing
I've collected data on my familiar for 60 turns of this effect, every time it is +3 exp +1 kill after a combat adventure. Rather than the 2-3 posted, I'm seeing a consistant 3 exp per battle, for a modification of +2 exp per combat adventure. --Dunsel 13:41, 16 October 2007 (CDT)
Is it possible that this effect scale with your level, or your familiar's level? It also may be based on the stat gains from whatever enemy you slay.--SirBlastalot 16:42, 17 October 2007 (CDT)
Anyone tried adventuring in the Cake-Shaped Arena with this effect? It's possible it works like the Familiar Doppleganger rather than the White Candy Heart / Mayflower Bouquet effect. Should be at least checked out. --Wildfire393 22:18, 17 October 2007 (CDT)
- I'm getting hitting two experience total with a 19 lb vball today, so it's probably safe to say it doesn't have an effect. --Bagatelle 12:24, 20 October 2007 (CDT)
- As of the trivial update of October 27, 2009, Brother Corsican's Blessing does work in the arena, along with everything else that gives familiars bonus experience.--Teln 01:13, 6 November 2009 (UTC)
This seems to be lowering my combat inititive and melee damage? is anyone else noticing this effect aswel? --Adamdude 15:40, 7 November 2007 (CST)
I have not seen this. I use this effect most days (unless I'm farming goat cheese or dusty bottles of wine for quests), and neither my melee damage nor my ability to get the jump seems adversely affected durring this durration. I'll pay closer attention next time though, but my gut says "no" on this. --Wildfire393 15:50, 7 November 2007 (CST)
Probably at most one of these references is legit.--P4n1q 01:36, 31 March 2010 (UTC)
I think that the message about familiars in heat having an adverse effect might be a reference to Anne McCaffrey's Dragonriders of Pern series. In those books, every time dragons or their fire lizard cousins go into heat, the humans bound to them also experience uncontrollable impulses to engage in passionate, well, activities. --Dinomage 19:28, 6 July 2011 (CEST)
- Sounds like it's a similar concept, but it doesn't read as a reference in my opinion. --timrem 22:03, 6 July 2011 (CEST)
