Talk:Bronze handcuffs
From TheKolWiki
- Using it on a monster for the first time:
![]() |
You slap one of the cuffs around your opponent's wrists, and one of them around one of your own. Looks like you're going to get to know each other a little better over the course of this fight. |
- Trying to use it again on the same monster:
![]() |
You're already handcuffed to your opponent. You can't be any more handcuffed to him. |
- Trying to run away from a handcuffed monster fails with the message:
You can't run away from something you're handcuffed to.
Using this item during combat seemingly makes you to never miss the monster, and the monster to never miss you. I adventured in The Castle in the Clouds in the Sky with 100 muscle/200 moxie and a melee weapon. Both I and the monster were missing each other until I used this item on it.
Also, this breaks after using it on several monsters (3-4? I'm not sure). Alas, I failed to copy the break message. --Philmasterplus 07:31, 16 May 2010 (UTC)
Anyone care to spade the mechanic for breakage? It's probably either a flat break chance per use, though a constant number of uses before breaking would also be conceivable. --Psly4mne 07:40, 21 May 2010 (UTC)
- Or they might not break if it has been more than a certain number of turns since the last use, like Communications windchimes. It would be nice if breakage is not inevitable. --Bale 08:47, 21 May 2010 (UTC)
