Talk:BRICKO reactor
The fact that it says you snap it on top of your opponent would imply that it does more damage, or can only be used against, Bricko monsters, I would think...--Jimfromtx 05:38, 6 February 2010 (UTC)
Just wanted to comment that against the bricko gargantuchicken ralkin and I observed a low damage point of 22k and a high of 80k damage. Usually it did around 33-45k. Only used about 10 the whole time I tried to fight it, but hey, it's better than nothing, right? -Tcoop
- Question, did it start at 80k and then continue to drop off? Or was it randomly distributed?--Toffile 17:46, 6 February 2010 (UTC)
- Would be interesting if it was evently distributed... if green BRICKO brick does 10% and this does ~20-80k, then a simple method for the chicken would just be several green blocks to take it down a good chunk and then swap to reactors once the greens start doing < ~50k. --Lordebon 17:55, 6 February 2010 (UTC)
- Toffile: Seemed randomly distributed to me. 22k to 40k to 80k to 38k to 45k the first fight I tried them.
- Lordebon: Seemed fairly evenly distributed around the 40kish area most uses. The idea of using green brickos until the damage is too low and then reactors is the idea, except since greens are so much cheaper you probably want to wait until it's doing <20k damage so that every single reactor is definitely doing more damage. -Tcoop

- Agreed, the price difference would make greens preferable for as long as possible. Do the greens funksling? (IE 2 greens reduces hp to (.9)(.9) = 82% of previous hp? --Lordebon 23:30, 6 February 2010 (UTC)
- If they are indeed doing 10% of the monster's HP in damage, then yes, two of them would reduce it to 81% of its previous. I've actually got nice graphical charts of this effect on slime stacks. And 10% of the HP would follow the minimum damage curve for a slime stack, which is just 10% of the monster's HP. I'll refrain from posting a link to it here to keep us from having to solve silly little captchas. --RoyalTonberry 00:02, 7 February 2010 (UTC)
Hmm. Knowing the precise values of damage that they did versus the monster would be quite helpful. It would be useful knowing if it's doing a range from a percentage based on the thing's current health, or if it's doing a range based all on its lonesome. An easy way to debunk the "percentage" approach would be to use it versus one of the low-tier Bricko things. If it's still doing ~50k damage versus something that's only got 100 HP, that'd be very good information. They're really expensive at the moment though, so I can understand not wanting to test that out. --RoyalTonberry 20:18, 6 February 2010 (UTC)
Observed a high damage of 94267 against the chicken.--AminRa 01:46, 18 February 2010 (UTC)
this item could be a reference to the mako reactors in ff7 --Otlu 12:47, 21 February 2010 (UTC)
You snap the reactor onto the top of your opponent and give it a good kick. You dive for cover as it overloads and explodes, dealing 9656 damage and sending heaps of charred bricks flying in every direction. It appears the lower boundary is lower than 20k as well. Maybe just a random value between 0-100k? Perhaps even normally distributed? --Dah Cheese 20:23, 27 February 2010 (UTC)
Finished off a cathedral by funkslinging two reactors, after using a green brick that did 11000 damage. First did 77633, second did 11367. That totals to exactly 100K (with no +ML), so it appears that the displayed damage is limited to the monster's remaining MP. In other words, a reactor that kills the monster conveys no information about the low end of the damage range. --Jasonharper 17:43, 5 April 2010 (UTC)
Damage Spading
My multi WANGbot has been killing a lot of chickens, each time with 2 reactors so I've been keeping track of damage. I've kept track of 9 so far with these results:
Average | Max | Min | Stnd dev. |
48386.77778 | 87083 | 21530 | 21231.51365 |
More results as they come. --Thagorn 06:29, 1 May 2010 (UTC)
Data from 20 reactors (including earlier 9):
Average | Max | Min | Stnd dev. |
49581.35 | 87083 | 13266 | 23090.41882 |
NOTE: Minimum includes a killing shot that may have maxed out the chickens HP. Non-kill minimum is 21530. Maximum also comes from a kill shot. Non-kill maximum: 86904. --Thagorn 03:38, 18 May 2010 (UTC)
- this looks like 50K average --Hrag 20:45, 18 September 2010 (UTC)
Confirmed that BRICKO reactor does not overkill monsters. Did 5500 damage to finish off a gargantuchicken. --Thagorn 20:39, 19 May 2010 (UTC)
BRICKO reactor can overkill a non-bricko monster. I attacked a Raver Giant and threw (kicked) a reactor at it: You place the reactor on the ground next to your opponent, kick it, and dive for cover as it explodes, dealing 1309 damage. --[User:Pazsox|Pazsox]] 15:09, July 5, 2010
Got a non-kill maximum: 90156--Peter50216 06:04, 11 October 2010 (UTC)
Got a non-kill maximum of 98225 --Rolagza 03:19, 20 January 2011 (UTC)
Did 9896 (13,194.667), 9976 (13,301.333) damage against a BRICKO airship (numbers in parenthesis represent the damage after it's 25% damage reduction). — Cool12309 (talk) 19:44, 1 June 2014 (UTC)
Non BRICKO damage
i hit both 490 and 198 on vanya's creature. how the hell did that guy hit a 1300?--The ErosionSeeker 00:59, 4 October 2011 (CEST)
If people are observing a damage range up to 1000 on non-BRICKO monsters (data?), it's possible the poster up above was using a V for Vivala mask and forgot to account for it? --Ailuro Dragon 20:14, 16 May 2012 (CEST)
