I added the Needs Confirmation bar because I believe that since the comet has destroyed the observatory, this item is unattainable (at least at the moment?). I did not know if this item could be considered a rare. If time passes and the observatory does not become repaired, this item should be considered a techinical rare, unattainable item. --StrongbadfanEX 09:34, 3 June 2006 (CDT)

• It seems to me that although it was a one-time item, it was similar to other one-time items such as fancy chocolates or time juice, both of which I would not classify as rares. Perhaps others have a different opinion on what constitutes a rare? --LucySpace 09:39, 3 June 2006 (CDT)

  • .....okay? So the ice-cream is unattainable? I'm not sure I really follow what you're saying. I wouldn't be surprised if the ice-cream was never attainable again; in fact, I don't expect it to reappear in any way. It's a special-event item.
    Now, your idea is to keep a bar that says "Needs Confirmation" on a page that, as it stands, is correct? For now, all we can do is assume that it won't change back, and if it does somehow repair itself, we'll just edit. If we follow StrongbadfanEX's comment to it's logical conclusion we should have "Needs Confirmation" bars on every single page, because we really don't know when any of the content will change. i.e. Maybe a comet will take out Degrassi Knoll tomorrow, and so that content will become unattainable... we really don't know, should we have a "Needs Confirmation" bar? (Of course not, right?) The game evolves - the best we can do is keep the Wiki accurate up to the day - trying to predict future events will not get us anywhere. --Dustdevil 10:41, 3 June 2006 (CDT)
