Trying to combine this with the tarrrnish charrrm or tarrrnish charrrm bracelet does nothing, nor does using the item while wearing said bracelet. Has anyone found a beneficial use for this yet?--Mephistowolf 09:48, 4 December 2007 (CST)

Exactly, is this good for anything but autosell? I hope so. o_o --Ducksan 17:19, 7 December 2007 (CST)

It mentions fumes when you use the item. What if you use this with the highest level of stench protection? Any changes then?

It was mentioned in the radio show that this has some purpose, it's got to be more than just -20% to all stats. Maybe it make it more likely to get the quest items?--Thudean 17:46, 7 December 2007 (CST)

What about stench resistance?--Sinic 20:59, 7 December 2007 (CST)

AFH forums say it removes negative status effects. http://afh.s4.bizhat.com/afh-ftopic957.html --Toper 05:48, 10 December 2007 (CST)

I can confirm that all-purpose cleaner removes goodball withdrawl. I didn't try any other negative status effects. But: neato! --Jef 22:06, 12 December 2007 (CST)

Appears to also remove Confused and Sleepy - suspect it will remove any negative effects - AFH is very trustworthy. Additionally, Soft green echo eyedrop antidote removes the Headache.--Mis2027 17:48, 13 December 2007 (CST)

For me it removed Confused, but not Sleepy or Teleportitis (wich was the one I wanted to get rid of). --Tissen 05:59, 20 December 2007 (CST)

Interesting. Mis2027, did you have to use two cleaners to remove two effects, or did one remove both at the same time? --Jef 10:52, 22 December 2007 (CST)

  • I had three negative effects when I used the cleaner, sleep, confused and Goofball withdrawal. When I used the cleaner, only sleepy was removed. Watch out. --Tripwood 13:25, 23 December 2007 (CST)
    • Probably just removes negative effects at a rate of one effect per bottle, which would be consistent with the SGEEs.--AltyMcAltAlt 02:04, 26 December 2007 (CST)

Can this remove Cursed by the RNG? --Voldreya 10:00, 10 November 2008

Order

It does indeed remove 1/use. Now the question is, is it random, or not? --Starwed 03:43, 1 January 2008 (CST)

limited use?

Does the cleaner cease to function when you have some amount of soul-crushing headache? Either that, or it won't remove "Hombre Muerto Caminando", "Sugar Rush", "Teleportitis", or "Izchak's Blessing"... There may be a limit to how many times per day that you can use this. --Pso lord734 13:15, 22 March 2008 (CDT)

  • It removes NEGATIVE status effects. Hombre and Izchak are purely positive; Sugar rush is partly positive. Teleportitis should be removable, I'll grant you. --Hellion 23:36, 22 March 2008 (CDT)
    • Teleportitis serves two important (and thus positive) functions: unlocking the DoD, and getting you through a particular gate (and by virtue of the first point, always letting you get through the 3rd gate). --Flargen 23:39, 22 March 2008 (CDT)

Negative Status Effects

We should probably compile a list for the page of what's actually classified as a negative status effect. --TechSmurf 22:13, 25 April 2008 (CDT)

A very brief list:

"Bad" Effects: "The Disease", Majorly Poisoned, A Revolution in Your Mouth, Hardly Poisoned at All, Goofball Withdrawal, Missing Fingers

"Good" Effects: Hombre Muerto Caminando, Sugar Rush, Soul-Crushing Headache, Leash of Linguini, The Magical Mojomuscular Melody, Fat Leon's Phat Loot Lyric

Classification issue?

Um, shouldn't this be grouped with the potions (for the 10 turns negative effects), or misc. consumables (for the effect removal ability)? In my screen it comes up under the regular 'Misc.' items before my anticheese :-) Mamph 14:25, 9 April 2009 (UTC)

  • Pop-up says "usable," and we tend to use the pop-up for the categorisations. --BagatelleT/C 22:45, 9 April 2009 (UTC)
