Punching a Section

  • What happens when you punch out a section? Does the item drop rate go up or something?--Icon315♕ (|) 15:41, 3 December 2011 (CET)
    • It does exactly what it says on the tin. First day: Lollipop forest zone. Second day: adds lolliphaunts to said zone. Third day: adds gingerbread house non-combat to said zone. --Valliant 18:17, 3 December 2011 (CET)
  • Looks like there's room for at least two more zones yet to come in there. DaveK 00:57, 6 December 2011 (CET)

Days vs Sections

This was brought up in the talk for the Fudge Mountain non-combat, but why do the section numbers count down from 25? There's nothing in-game that I can see that supports this, I've never seen an Advent calendar that works that way*, and the whole thing is just unnecessarily confusing. Can we let day 1 be section 1, change all the references on the Lollipop Forest and Fudge Mountain pages to say, for example, the Fudge Wizard appears after Day 14 or Section 14 or the 14th punch or whatever instead of saying section 12 and making people do unnecessary subtraction? *I'm sure they're out there, but I've never seen one, and I've seen a lot of Advent calendars, is all I'm sayin'. --Johnny Treehugger 16:46, 15 December 2011 (CET)

  • How's your your Broadway musical voice? I can't do a good Tevye singing Tradition! See Talk:Advent Calendar (2005) for "Count down versus Count up". --Club (#66669) (Talk) 19:37, 15 December 2011 (CET)
    • I like using calendar dates since they're less ambiguous. Mostly. --Itsatrap 22:10, 15 December 2011 (CET)
    • If I was a rich man, badabadaba... anyway, I would leave "Day 1/Section 25" on this page, but on all the Lollipop Forest / Fudge Mountain and associated pages, I'd standardize all the references to say "After the 10th section of the Advent Calendar has been punched" instead of "After Section 16 of the Advent Calendar has been punched". Anyway, that's what I plan to do, if I get a chance, if no one objects, and if I was a wealthy man. --Johnny Treehugger 23:19, 15 December 2011 (CET)
