Talk:Acid-squirting flower
- If the opponent is killed with the acid-squirting flower's attack, and he/she/it still has a chance to attack, then wouldn't the acid-squirting flower's attack take place before the opponent's attack? --Doppelheathen 15:48, 9 Sep 2005 (Central Daylight Time)
- Perhaps I'm being dense, but this sounds contradictory. Can you explain why this would be? --Gymnosophist 21:50, 9 Sep 2005 (Central Daylight Time)
- Random? Isn't it whenever you're dealt damage? Banjooie 18:22, 27 Aug 2005 (Central Daylight Time)
- No, this can happen when you successfully attack, and doesn't have to happen when you take damage. --Gymnosophist 21:15, 27 Aug 2005 (Central Daylight Time)
- Doppelheathen, no it wouldn't, because if the squirting flower killed the opponent before he attacked, it would kill him and he would be unable to attack.

The acid-squirting flower is kind of stupid in how it works. It prints that it's doing damage before the monster does, but the damage isn't actually applied until after the monster has a chance to attack. --sl1me 09:15, 14 April 2006 (CDT)
Actually it isn't - if will throw bottle with acid at you, you won't instantly die - it will take acid some time to actually get on your skin and deadly damage you -Navara 12:24, 28 November 2007 (CST)
Ran some turns with this to confirm some things for myself. Added the activation message when you get hit. Results of acid-damage when hit: 4, 5, 5, 3, 4, 3, 3, 3, 5, 3, 3, 5, 3, 4, 3, 3, 5, 5, 3, 4, 3, 5, 4, 5, 3, 4, 5, 5, 4 damage. The flower triggered 100% of the times a monster hit me, and never triggered in a round where the monster missed me. I also ran some turns with a potato, and the flower never triggered when the potato blocked an attack. --Terion 22:05, 3 May 2008 (CDT)

- Is this article missing a references section? I'm not certain how to add one or I would try myself. Specifically a reference to the Batman's nemesis, the Joker, who frequently uses an acid-squirting flower.--Vysion 10:48, 20 August 2008 (CDT)
- I've added a section for it. --Vysion 09:21, 3 September 2008 (CDT)
- And Evilkolbot decided it wasn't. I thought the face full of pain from the acid in one made reference to the usage the Joker gets out of it. Oh well. This note can serve as a heads-up to anyone else that it should not be added. ---Vysion 16:13, 3 September 2008 (CDT)
