Are the Gnome's outfit & "wetlander" Wheel of Time Aiel references? --StDoodle 19:49, 2 July 2007 (CDT)

The what the who now? I don't think so. --Jonrock 20:45, 2 July 2007 (CDT)
Upon further review, it is easily explained why it seems possible, but we're quite clear that the game authors intended Dune. --Jonrock 00:57, 3 July 2007 (CDT)

Not sure how to notate this, but at least I can provide the info: It seems this adventure will not appear until you have unlocked An Oasis through the Let's Make a Deal! adventure. I typed in the direct URL to the Oasis to gain Ultrahydrated without unlocking it, and adventured in the desert with the Smooth Sonata of Conflict for +15% non-combats. After 80+ combats -- not counting the adventures refreshing Ultrahydrated -- I had not gotten this Sietch adventure. Could be really bad RNG, but not likely. (This started out as an attempt to avoid the unhydrated adventures after I was raided and offered a drink. After ten or so turns of not getting the sietch, I decided to run a larger number of turns out of curiosity. Looks like my initial plan was pre-emptively shut down.) --Terion 09:50, 17 September 2007 (CDT)

Fun fact: Nasir was going to be the name of Morgan Freeman's character in Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves before it was explained to the producers that Nasir wasn't from the original Robin Hood legend (and was instead taken from the British 1980s series Robin of Sherwood), so they changed his name to Azeem. I don't know if the Freeman/Fremen link was intentional or a coincidence, since the rest of it is clearly a Dune reference, but I'm otherwise not sure how they got the name Nasir. Food for thought, at least- The Wrassedragon (talk) 15:11, 8 November 2016 (UTC)
