  • Fair enough to the point below, but Keanu saying 'Woah' in the Matrix is actualy a reference back to Bill and Ted. and a friend of mine has a suspision that the whole sentance is a quote from something else entirely. Catbeef 08:03, 10 June 2006 (CDT)

You know, there were people saying 'Woah' long before Keanu. There will likely be people saying it after he's gone, too. I don't think it's a reference to him. --Allanc 17:47, 2 June 2006 (CDT)

  • I didn't really think so either, Allanc, but I was surprised that TheMonkOfDestiny added The Matrix as a reference but neglected Bill and Ted. It seems to me that Bill and Ted's Excellent Adventure is more suited to be a reference to this particular adventure (whether unintentional or not) than The Matrix Trilogy. Regardless, as long as we will be mentioning Keanu Reeves, I will be hovering nearby to make sure that no one takes away the s after the apostrophe! (In addition, I apologize for using the term "Srsly." when making the change.) :) --LucySpace 02:22, 3 June 2006 (CDT)

-sharp intake of breath- Props for the Xenocide reference (by far Card's best book), but I think that's a BIT of a stretch. What do you guys think? --Iason 02:33, 3 June 2006 (CDT)

  • Well, there have been Ender references elsewhere in the game, so I wouldn't put it past Riff to include it as a reference here. I have no personal experience with the series and so I can't comment on whether I think it's a stretch. --LucySpace 03:58, 3 June 2006 (CDT)
  • I dunno. I think it's just a reference to the fact that wood grain is one of the common things for people tripping on hallucinogens to be fascinated by. I mean, that's what I've heard. --Buttons 11:45, 3 June 2006 (CDT)
  • As much as I'd love to see another Enderverse reference it does seem like a bit of a stretch. --Kandrew 18:07, 4 June 2006 (CDT)
  • Okey doke. Took it out. --Iason 00:27, 5 June 2006 (CDT)
  • I wasn't sure which trip to put this on, but it seems that every astral mushroom yields one and only one violet fog. I've eaten 35 mushrooms over the last few days and on every single great trip, I've received exactly one violet fog. Has anyone received more or less per mushroom? --Shaudius 12:17, 8 June 2006 (CDT)
    • I've noticed the same results, Shaudius. It seems like you don't get any of the adventures twice in a single trip. --LucySpace 13:02, 8 June 2006 (CDT)
      • I've seen the same thing on the violet fog, but I'm pretty sure I've fought two of the same monster otherwise.... --Hellion 14:01, 8 June 2006 (CDT)
      • I concur. I've certainly seen 2 of the same adventure in a single trip, but always exactly 1 Violet Fog. --Iason 17:02, 9 June 2006 (CDT)

Differences among trips?

Are there really differences among the trips, regarding rewards? Or is it just the power of the monsters?

I took a bad trip, and had no astral cakes... But it could just be the RNG.

More experiments are needed. --Luos 12:14, 12 June 2006 (CDT)

Disspelling Half-Astral

I've not seen it, but it is worth noting somewhere that using a soft green echo eyedrop antidote will remove this effect. Very useful if the wrong trip is taken.--Blastphemist 13:19, 15 February 2007 (CST)

Since the only effect that can't be removed with a SGEEA is Goofball Withdrawal, I'd say there's no real need to mention it.--Munkel 00:33, 3 April 2007 (CDT)

Less Rewards

I'm pretty sure you're right, Luos. I took the bad trip and got no cupcakes. Plus the text hints towards "You won't get much out of it, though."--Wallawalla23 14:15, 3 July 2006 (CDT)

  • That could just be a reference to Stat gains, but I too have noticed that you get more cupcakes during" better" trips. I'd wager the percentages are roughly 15% bad, 25% OK, and 35% Great. But that's just me. (I took only one bad trip and definitely got a cupcake out of it, Maybe two- but I forgot.) -Mojotech-

I have indeed gotten a cupcake out of the bad trip. Maybe it's just a lower drop rate. Neongrey 15:10, 23 July 2006 (CDT)
