Talk:A Crimbo Tree

How is it anyone is able to get it to work? My crimbo tree says I gotta wait til crimbo to open it. --Lemon-claw 03:24, 25 December 2009 (UTC)

I think this might give the people to use it some present of some sort, probably only on December 25, or starting then...I'm too poor to get a VIP pass though, so I don't really know...--Viziertim 21:49, 18 December 2009 (UTC)

I have a VIP pass but only a few of my clan mates have it thus they do not plan to make a Crimbo tree, will this be a roll-over requirement or can I just whitelist into another clan with a tree for Crimbo? --Uzziah 02:43, 23 December 2009 (UTC)

Your guess is as good as ours. My personal guess is that being whitelisted in a clan with the tree should be enough, since the presents are there (you just can't open them until Crimbo), but you never know. --Lordebon 05:01, 23 December 2009 (UTC)

I used it today. It gave me a Jack-in-the-box (familiar, gift item). It says I can use it again in 7 days. --Rotated8 08:37, 24 December 2009 (UTC)

Wow... %drops are going to be a pain to spade. For what its worth, I got a cookbook. --Ranrar 04:25, 25 December 2009 (UTC)

Counter doesn't reset upon ascension, but can we get more than 1 prize at once from tree after 14/21/... interval instead of 7? --NightBird 10:41, 26 December 2009 (UTC)

  • I missed my chance to get something yesterday, and after getting my gift for today, the counter set itself to 7 days. Make of that what you will. --Someotherdude 15:31 2 January 2010 (UTC)

Can you get the red-and-green sweater even if you don't have Torso Awaregness? --LastChans 15:43, 26 December 2009 (UTC)

Don't know if this is true or not, or if anyone else has paid attention, but I believe that you only get one of a certain gift per ascension. I've stuck around for a couple of weeks after the tree was initialized, and every time I am able to open a gift, I get the same one as the week before, and only got something different after ascending. --Grand Puuba 15:20, 24 January 2010 (UTC)

  • This is debunked by some of the data below. --CG1:t,c,e 19:28, 24 January 2010 (UTC)

Has anyone gotten anything other than the Jack-in-the-box when in Hardcore? Maybe I am just unlucky, but I've gotten 3 in a row. --Coderanger 21:14, 31 January 2010 (UTC)

  • Yes, my first use of it netted a sweater in Hardcore as a disco bandit. --Gargamelli 22:27, 27 April 2011 (UTC)

How's that? Worth the effort? --Sparksol (t|c) 11:48, 30 December 2009 (UTC)

  • Yeah. I wanted to do the same, but never got around to it, so this is good. I'll start adding my data Friday.--Erich 18:12, 30 December 2009 (UTC)

Got the cookbook 2x so far, FWIW (as a P both times). --Forsythe 09:14, 1 January 2010 (UTC)

  • Okay, got the shield this time while still a P; glad it's not class related. --Forsythe 00:13, 9 January 2010 (UTC)

Will the crimbo tree stay around forever, or give items forever? It seems that way (2010) and all.--Jeevesjaner 03:41, 2 January 2010 (UTC)

I certainly hope so. Them's was a lotta crimbux.--Sparksol (t|c) 04:31, 5 January 2010 (UTC)

Just to check, has anyone pulverized any of the equipment? Does it smash into anything special, or just standard wads? --Sparksol (t|c) 02:45, 9 January 2010 (UTC)

Just smashed a BB gun, got 2 piles of twinkly powder.--Sparksol (t|c) 04:19, 15 January 2010 (UTC)
