I'm not sure where thsi should go in the template, but the message given when you sucessfully hit with this weapon is:
Your opponent looks weaker...
(which is relevant to wierdo's like me who search for that phrase when they see it to try and work out what is suddenly delevelling their enemies.(I wonder if it's an effective dual wielding strategy against the sorceress?)) Teffania

Well considering this is a 2 handed weapon, it can't be dual wielded :D MrTimofTimIII 12:16, 9 April 2006 (CDT)

How does this affect stat gains?--Vimes177 19:48, 13 June 2006 (CDT)

  • It doesn't - Jick has confirmed on a radio show that stat gains are determined from the monster's initial level when combat started, not its level at the end of combat. --Quietust 21:16, 13 June 2006 (CDT)

Has anybody tested to find out exactly how many levels a successful hit removes from an enemy? Holler 02:56, 10 July 2006 (CDT)

Isn't this whole 7-Foot Dwarf thing a reference to the character Carrot in Terry Pratchett's discworld series? --Kalzekdor 01:59, 25 August 2006 (CDT)

  • Yep, and a pretty obvious reference to those who have read the novels. --mLegion 17:33, 25 February 2007 (CST)

I'm new at this, but I'd like to try to find out how much the successful hit delevels. Any suggestions on how?--Alnek 19:36, 12 March 2007 (CDT)

  • Go post in this HCO Tool Shed thread (introduce yourself and ask for suggestions). Basically, you go in against a basement monster (known ML with no variation) and you look at how the damage and hitrate change after successful hits. Weapons are thought to delevel by 10%-20% of power but this needs verification. --DirkDiggler 23:48, 12 March 2007 (CDT)
  • I just wanted to say: Go For It Alnek, You Can Do It! (but seriously, spading is fun) --Holler 23:56, 14 March 2007 (CDT)
