You're fighting a swamp gatorThe gators that live in this swamp spend most of their day either hunting and eating beavers, or trying to avoid being hunted and eaten by beavers. Okay, sometimes they get together with some of the other swamp critters for a catfish-fry or a game of pea-knuckle, but mostly it's the beavers and the hunting and the eating.
