You're fighting a swamp beaver shamanThis primitive man-beaver (or possibly beaver-man) appears to be some sort of tribal religious leader. You can tell because he's decked out in necklaces of gator teeth and the feathers of various swamp birds, and is howling at you with anger and hatred, as tribal religious readers are wont to do.
