spooky zombie You're fighting Permelia "Black Lips" Rule

You stop to admire yourself in a shop window. You look great! Your hair's perfect, your nose is set at just the right angle, there's a creepy pale face reflected in the glass behind you...wait, what?

You spin around to see a zombie, his skin an unhealthy yellowy white, maggots crawling from his eye sockets. "Sooouuuuuulllllssss..." he hisses, reaching for you.

Hit Message(s):

He pulls out one of his eyes and throws it at you. It doesn't hurt, but it's plenty freaky. Argh! Argh! Ugh! Ow! (spooky damage)

He pulls off his face and shows you the maggots writhing beneath it. Oof! Ooh! Oof! Eek! (spooky damage)

He stares at you with his empty eyes as a worm crawls out of one socket and up his decaying nose. Argh! Ouch! Ouch! Ooh! (spooky damage)

He crawls toward you way too fast for decomposing flesh to be moving (I mean, ideally decomposing flesh wouldn't be moving at all). Argh! Ooh! Ugh! Ooh! (spooky damage)

He raises one arm, points a decaying finger at you, and says, "I WAS ONCE LIKE YOU." Eek! Ouch! Ugh! Ugh! (spooky damage)

He clicks together the bones in his arms in a rather unsettling way. Oof! Oof! Ow! Argh! (spooky damage)

Critical Hit Message:

He grabs you and sinks his teeth into your brain, letting all of his dark energy flow right into your amygdala. You feel like a tiny mouse, alone in a dark full of eyes and teeth. (CRITICAL HIT!) Ow! Oof! Ugh! Ouch! (spooky damage)

Miss Message(s):

He stops to pull a couple of maggots out from under his fingernails.

He pulls out one of his eyes, then does a funny pirate impression.

He crawls toward you, all broken limbs and inverted joints, but the effect is ruined when one of his arms fall off.

He stares at you with his empty eyes, looking a little goofy, actually.

He tries to freak you out by playing a tune on his ribs, but can only manage "Mary Had a Little Lamb."

He pulls off his face, tightens it up a little, and puts it back on again.

Fumble Message:

He actually manages to creep himself out, and has to wait for his goosebumps to go away. (FUMBLE!)

You feel the hairs prick up on the back of your neck, as if someone's behind you. You can almost feel its breath on your neck, the feeling's so strong.

You spin around and come nose-to-nose-cavity with a particularly spooky zombie. It chuckles mirthlessly as it prepares to disembrrraaaiiin you.

The wind whistles down a deserted alleyway, blowing leaves in a little dust devil, making a plastic bag take (beautiful) flight. It's so quiet in here that it makes you a little nervous, like something's waiting to leap out from behind--oh, let's say that trash can over there--and scare the crap out of you.

Yup, there was, and he did, and it's the spookiest zombie you've ever seen.

A zombie crawls out of the shadows towards you, every joint bending the wrong way, clicking its teeth together hungrily as it approaches. You feel your bowels turn to ice water, and not in a good way.
A zombie steps out of a nearby alleyway and limp-shambles your way. You check your metaphorical watch as he takes his time limping towards you.

Then you blink, and it's standing inches from your nose! "RUNNNNNN..." it burbles, then laughs a high-pitched, manic laugh.
