You approach the ancient blood-stained altar. A primordial voice whispers in your mind. "Do it. Do it. Do it."

Sacrifice your skeleton buddy

Power surges through you! (+X to all stats) as your sacrifice is consumed in an explosion of bones.

And, for the first three sacrifices:
Hollow laughter booms in the distance as a reward appears atop the altar.

You acquire... something.

Sacrifice the damselfly

Sacrifice the golden monkey

Sacrifice the resourceful kid

Sacrifice the helpful guy

Power surges through you! (+X to all stats) as your sacrifice is consumed in an explosion of blood.

And, for the first three sacrifices:
Hollow laughter booms in the distance as a reward appears atop the altar.

You acquire... something.

And, with the cursed coffee cup equipped:
You catch some of the blood in your coffee cup and drink it up.

You gain 30 hit points.

I can't do it...

You look at your buddy. Tears well up in your eyes. You just... you just can't do it.

Occurs at The Altar.

Notes

If you click on The Altar without a buddy, you instead get the message:
- This altar demands sacrifice, but you've got nobody with which to satisfy its demand.
The first sacrifice gives +10 to all stats and the cursed coffee cup.
The second sacrifice gives +5 to all stats and a piece of equipment you haven't acquired yet from the following list in descending order:
- X-ray goggles
- spiked boots
- jetpack
- rock (even if you have one already)
The third sacrifice gives +1 to all stats and The Joke Book of the Dead.
Subsequent sacrifices only give +1 to all stats and no items.
Sacrificing any non-skeleton buddy with the cursed coffee cup equipped will restore HP.
