Smoldering box

This is a scorched cardboard box, uncomfortably warm to the touch, and with wisps of smoke coming out from under the lid. It probably has some junk in it, but I wouldn't recommend putting your junk in it, even if you cut a hole in it first. (In-game plural: smoldering boxes) |

When Used
- When used at the start of a Bad Moon run:

Notes
- Cannot be opened while in Hardcore or Ronin.
- As of May 17, 2011's Valhalla update, no longer available since Hardcore rewards are now dropped by the Naughty Sorceress.
History
- When reincarnating under a Bad Moon, ascension rewards were placed in this box to prevent them from being available for usage during the run.

- The description of this item is a reference to the Saturday Night Live Digital Short "Dick in a Box," in which the steps to giving your significant other a dick in a box as a gift are outlined: "Step 1: Cut a hole in a box. Step 2: Put your junk in that box. Step 3: Make her open the box."
