The mayor's research program studying the effects of widespread vampirism seems to be underway. Looks like they started with relatively simple animals, like amoebas. Consequently, you're fighting a giant vampire amoeba.
So it turns out the fuel refining process the new alien mayor has started up does have one notable waste product: big wads of poisonous slime. Sentient big wads of poisonous slime. So uh, that's a thing.
So it turns out the "decorations" for Ich'Xuul'kor the Good and Normal's welcoming are ambulatory blobs of sentient, caustic slime. Where's he from, anyway? New Jersey?
Uh-oh, it looks like one of the new garbage-eating sanitation slimes has gone rogue. Well, I say 'gone', but they all pretty much started out rogue.
This blob of magical lard doesn't seem to like you very much. Maybe the Pork Elves used them as watchdogs, and you don't smell like a Pork Elf? I guess that's as good a guess as any.
The slime flaps a pseudopod at you, and some drips go right in your eye! Ooh! Ouch! Ugh!
The slime hits you with some of... well, itself. Ow! Argh! Ouch!
The slime oozes onto your head, buring it with acidic sludge. Why did you stand still for that? Oof! Eek! Ow!
The slime squirts a jet of corrosive fluit out of its eye! ...Wait, is that an eye? I guess it could be a mouth. Or a nipple. (CRITICAL HIT!) Eek! Argh! Ugh!
The slime flaps its pseudopods ineffectually. Guess it should've gotten some real ones.
The slime throws a glob of itself at you and misses. So it has to go retrieve it.
The slime tries to ooze onto you, but you step away.
The slime wobbles unpleasantly at you. (FUMBLE!)
