"Avast. Arrrr. I'm shady..."
Are you going to let this pirate talk to you like that?
Hit Message(s):
He hits you with a little bit of him mixed with some hard liquor. Argh! Ouch!
He hits you, like vodka that'll kick start your heart quicker than the shocks when you get shocked at the hospital. Argh! Ow!
He grabs his cutlass and makes it enter in under your skin like a splinter. Or, y'know, like a big sword. Ouch! Ouch! Ugh!
He moons you. It's a disaster. Such a catastrophe. Argh! Ugh! (sleaze damage)
He whistles for his fellow pirates to help him attack. You're surrounded by a mob of malnourished, shady pirates. You can't even tell which one of them you were fighting to begin with. Will the real slim, shady pirate please hit you in the face? Yup. Ooh! Oof! Ow!
He hits you, but you lose yourself in the moment and dodge.
He tries to hit you, but misses. And he only gets one shot. Looks like he missed his chance to blow.
He suggests that any other shady pirate is just imitating. You disagree, but keep your opinion to yourself.
He pulls out a cutlass and tries to turn you into cutlets, but doesn't watch where he's going and walks off the plank. You feel a little empty without him. (FUMBLE!)
You gain 24-36 Meat (average: 30, stdev: 2.83)* |
You acquire an item: safarrri hat (10.5% chance)* |
You gain 16-17 <substat>. |
Occurs at The Obligatory Pirate's Cove.
References
- The Shady Pirate is a reference to Eminem, and his alter ego Slim Shady. The combat messages are all references to Eminem lyrics:
- "I'm shady..." refers to a song and the chorus of said song off his first album The Slim Shady LP called "I'm Shady".
- "Without Me," from his 2002 album The Eminem Show: "Well if you want Shady, this is what I'll give ya / A little bit of weed mixed with some hard liquor / Some vodka that'll jump start my heart quicker / Than a shock when I get shocked at the hospital". The fumble message is a nod to this song's title and chorus, "It feels so empty without me." The attack messages with "under your skin like a splinter" and "It's a disaster. Such a catastrophe" are also a reference to this song.
- "Lose Yourself," is from the soundtrack of the 2002 movie 8 Mile: "You better lose yourself in the music, the moment / You own it, you better never let it go / You only get one shot, do not miss your chance to blow"
- "The Real Slim Shady," is from The Marshall Mathers LP: "Will the real Slim Shady please stand up?".
- The description may come from When the Music Stops, featuring D-12, and contains the lyric: "Yo slim, you gonna let him get away with that?".
