Remembarrr the Main
As you wander around the outskirts of the cove, you see a pirate with two hooks for hands and two peg legs leaning against the mizzenmast.
"Ho there, landlubbarrr!" he says.
"Where?" you ask.
"Name's Lucky," he says. "I just got back from the Spanish Main. There be many a strange sight to see ovarrr there, I'll tell ye. Check out this strange plant I found."
He fumbles in one of his pockets (which, when one has a hook for a hand, is pretty dangerous) and pulls out a weird little plant. It has a bulb that looks like a featureless face with a big mouth, and a growth on top that resembles a sombrero. "This here be a Spanish Fly Tra --- WOOOAH!"
The deck suddenly gives way underneath Lucky and he drops out of sight. The fly trap looks up at you and says "Aliménteme, Seymour." It's so cute, you just have to take it with you.
You acquire an item: Spanish fly trap |

References
- "Aliménteme, Seymour" is a reference to Little Shop of Horrors in which an alien plant that looked like a giant venus flytrap said "Feed me, Seymour" repeatedly. Aliménteme is, of course, Spanish for Feed me.
- The name of this adventure is a reference to the Spanish–American War phrase 'Remember the Maine'.
- The "Spanish Main" was the coast of the New World under Spain's control in the years following 1492.
- "Where" is asking about the immoral pleasure seeker mentioned in the previous line "Ho there". This may be an inversion of the line "Hello, Sailor" used by the adventurer to talk to a mariner in the Zork series.
