Plinth
As you near your chosen coordinates, you see a tiny, perfectly circular island off the starboard bow.
"What's that?" you ask the navigator.
"That... is El Vibrato Island -- word is it rose from the depths fairly recently. Nobody knows what the deal is."
Without any El Vibrato power spheres in inventory
You disembark on the island, and notice a weird-looking stone plinth in the center of it. The plinth is carved with a bunch of shallow channels, through which pulse a bunch of blue lights. There's a circular depression at the top of it, but you don't have anything to shove into it, so you shove off, instead.

First time each ascension
You disembark on the island, and notice a weird-looking stone plinth in the center of it. The plinth is carved with a bunch of shallow channels, through which pulse a bunch of blue lights. There's a circular depression at the top of it, almost exactly the same size as the strange stone sphere you dredged up earlier.
You place the sphere into the depression, and it immediately vanishes, seeming to sink into the plinth. A humming sounds emanates from below the ground, as if some piece of ancient machinery had suddenly sprung back to life. A panel opens up on the lower part of the plinth, and a stone trapezoid falls out. You grab it, because hey -- free trapezoid!
![]() | You acquire an item: El Vibrato trapezoid |
Subsequent times
You disembark on the island and drop another stone sphere into the plinth. The panel opens again, but there's nothing in it. Looks like you're only entitled to one free trapezoid...

Perhaps that's because deep below the ground, some piece of ancient machinery has suddenly sprung back to life.

Notes
- This location only became accessible after the creation of the strange stone pyramid by El Vibrato and its subsequent destruction in the Stone Pyramid adventure.
- Initially, each visit to the plinth resulted in one strange stone sphere being consumed.
- Overcharged El Vibrato power spheres have no effect here.

- The First Time text refers to a "Deep Thoughts" by Jack Handey bit that ends "because, hey, free dummy."
