Of Mouseholes and Manholes

Frank shouts "67%, baby! And look! We're in a straight corridor with no branches, so you have no option other than to follow the left wall."

"Oh yeah?" you retort. "What about this manhole cover here? I'll bet this leads to a shortcut of some sort. Tunnels are almost always shortcuts."

"No, no," says Frank, "they specifically warned me about this manhole. Manhole, they said. More like... dead man hole. They weren't funny guys, really. They were more the thinking and planning type."

"Well," you reply, "maybe they were as bad at planning as they were at jokes. Maybe the manhole is the right choice."

Frank says "You're killin' me, Chief. Please. Just stick to the left wall and let's get this over with."

Do what the man says

You trudge down the corridor.

You kick open the manhole and dive in. It leads, not surprisingly, to a sewer. What is surprising is the caliber of the sewer smell. It would definitely be an award-winning stink, if anybody gave awards for that.

HPYou lose (70% of max) hit points. (stench damage)

then, if you survived:

You emerge from the tunnel and brush yourself off.

"I tried to warn you," says Frank, "but noooooo, you're the expert."
