Beach Combo. Everfull Dart Holster

All monsters can have specifically assigned body parts that affect some skills, familiars, one combat item, and the hit messages of one weapon.

Skills & Items Affecting Body Parts

All three of the skills below are only available with the Mutant Couture.

  • Strangle can be used against creatures with heads.
  • Disarm can be used against creatures with arms.
  • Entangle can be used against creatures with legs.

Reanimated Reanimator

The Reanimated Reanimator can collect the following body parts:

In addition, the Reanimator can collect weird body parts by default, which can occur even if the monster has no body parts defined.

Parts in Game Messages

Monster parts are also used in combat messages generated by several different sources.

Adorable Seal Larva

The Adorable Seal Larva's primary combat message uses Monster Part:

<name> fangs your opponent in the <monster part> and greedily sucks the vital juices from the wound. It then slimes its way over to you and bites your ankle, injecting you with the aforementioned juices while blinking its big brown eyes at you. It's so adorable!
HPYou gain X hit points.

Adventurous Spelunker

One of the Adventurous Spelunker's combat messages uses Monster Part:

<name> whips your opponent in the <monster part>, dealing X damage.

Be Gregarious

The message when using Be Gregarious on a monster includes a monster part.

You decide to put your best foot forward. You reach out your hand, shake your opponent's <monster part>, and make a fast friend!

Drills

Drill-type weapons, including the battery-powered drill and high-temperature mining drill, have a regular hit message that identifies a random monster part:

You drill a neat hole in your opponent's <monster part> which deals X damage. POW! POW! KERBLAM!

Electronics kit

The use message of the electronics kit use a Monster Part:

You wire up a quick circuit and hook it to your opponent's <monster part>. You flip the switch and watch the sparks fly!

Extract

Messages generated by Extract use a Monster Part:

You reach into your foe's <monster part> and pull out some juicy, pulsating data.

Franken Stein

The Franken Stein grants the Toast your enemy combat skill which allows you to change enchantments by pulling off a Monster Part:

Fstein12.gif You shove your stein up against your opponent and when you pull it back, their <monster part> is stuck to it (enchantment bonus)

Note that this is not a Monster Part in traditional style; each part corresponds to a set of possible parts that can be found with the Stein. For instance, if the monster has a head, the Franken Stein can pull an ear or an eye, but not the head itself.

Hammer Smash

Using the Path of the Plumber combat skill Hammer Smash identifies a random monster part:

You smack your foe right in the <monster part> with your hammer, dealing X damage.

Junk Mace Smash

Using the You, Robot combat skill Junk Mace Smash identifies a random monster part:

You bash it right in the <monster part> with your Junk Mace, dealing X damage and causing bits of scrap to fly off in every direction.

Left-Hand Man

One of the Left-Hand Man's combat messages uses a Monster Part:

<name> smacks your opponent in the <monster part> with the <off-hand item> clutched in his... head... It deals X damage.

Little Mouse Skull Buddy

The Little Mouse Skull Buddy has a combat message that identifies a random monster part:

The cute little floating mouse skull nibbles at your opponent's <monster part>, dealing X damage.

Piranha Plant

The Piranha Plant's primary combat message uses Monster Part:

<name> chomps your foe right in the <monster part>, dealing X damage.

Rabid Dogwood

The outdoor Rabid Dogwood from The Florist Friar's Cottage has a message that identifies a random monster part:

The Rabid Dogwood jumps up and nails your opponent in the <monster part> in a misguided show of affection. It looks pretty ticked off.

Shoot

Using the Avatar of West of Loathing combat skill Shoot identifies a random monster part:

You draw your sixgun and shoot your foe right in the <monster part>, dealing X damage.

Shoot Pea

Using the You, Robot combat skill Shoot Pea identifies a random monster part:

You shoot a pea-sized projectile at his <monster part>, dealing X damage.

Small Golem

The small golem in its combat message can identify any body part possessed by the creature.

Solenoid Slam

Using the You, Robot combat skill Solenoid Slam identifies a random monster part:

You power up your solenoid and slam your piston right into its <monster part>, dealing X damage.

Stream of Sauce

One of the messages generated by Stream of Sauce uses Monster Part.

You blast it with a stream of hot <sauce>, dealing X damage. Right in the <monster part>!

Surprisingly Sweet Slash

Using the combat skill Surprisingly Sweet Slash identifies a random monster part:

As you quickly draw the candy cane sword out of your cane, you run your tongue across its red and white striped blade, whetting both the blade and your appetite. The sudden appearance of a blade shocks your opponent, and it is crippled as you slice a path through its <monster part>.

Swing Pound-O-Tron

Using the You, Robot combat skill Swing Pound-O-Tron identifies a random monster part:

You swing your Pound-O-Tron in a wild circle, eventually connecting with your foe's <monster part> and dealing X damage.

Ultrasonic Ululations

The message generated by Ultrasonic Ululations identifies a random monster part:

You shriek in the direction of your foe's <monster part>, vibrating it to the tune of X damage.

Unleash Terra Cotta Army

Some of the Unleash Terra Cotta Army soldiers identify a random monster part:

Tc soldier.gifA terra cotta flame wizard blasts your foe in the <monster part> with a fireball, dealing X damage.
Tc soldier.gifA terra cotta ninja viciously slashes your foe's <monster part>, dealing X damage and leaving it bloody.
Tc soldier.gifA terra cotta swordsman slashes your foe in the <monster part>, dealing X damage.

Utensil Twist

One of the normal messages generated by Utensil Twist identifies a random monster part:

You slap your <utensil> against the ground, kicking up a spark that strikes your foe in the <monster part>, dealing X damage.
