Midnight in the Civic Center
The clock strikes midnight as you stroll through the front door of the Gingerbread jail and take stock of your surroundings.
There's a big door labeled "JAIL LIBRARY" that you could probably stroll into without much trouble.
There's a guy wearing a shirt that says "ASK ME ABOUT COUNTERFEITING," so you do, and he describes his services to you and how much they cost.
- With a creme brulee torch:
- There's a locked cell door with a gingerbread robber behind it. The lock looks pretty flimsy -- your blowtorch would probably make short work of it.
There's a cigarette vending machine next to the front door. Weird. How old is this place?
- With a gingerbread dog treat:
- There's an adorable puppy tied up to a bench, and he gets really excited when he smells your dog treat.

You find a really weird local ordinance forbidding digging any lower than the deepest level of the train tunnels. Weird.

- You pay the counterfeiter to make you a fake version of Gingerbread City to pawn off on some rube as the real thing.

You quickly melt the lock on the cell and the criminal inside thanks you as he runs off into the night.
"Hey," you shout after him, "you forgot your..." but he's already gone.
Oh well. He almost certainly stole this thing, anyway.
