Meteoid

The ship woke me up from cryostasis just minutes after it automatically performed an emergency landing on a smallish planetoid. Apparently a micrometeorite storm destroyed the power core for the engine, and the failsafe overrides kicked in just in time.
The commlink was out, as were most of the ship's other subsystems. At least the SpaceMall interface was still operational. Too bad SpaceMall didn't sell distress beacons. And that I had spent every last Credcrystal I had before I left on this jump.
I looked at the results of the scan the ship made just before it crashed -- the planetoid was riddled with mazelike corridors, and tech readings were off the charts. I decided that using the last few teleportation charges exploring the complex was better than just sitting around waiting to suffocate. Maybe, if I was lucky, I'd find something I could use as a power supply for the ship's engine, and get off this forsaken rock.

I needed to find a way off this rock. I decided to check out the subterranean complex below me, in the hopes of finding a power source for my ship's engine.

I was out of options. I flipped the override switch and set the ship to self-destruct, hoping that there was enough antimatter left in the engine core to destroy this stupid planetoid along with the ship.
My last thought as the ship began to overheat was this:
"I hope nobody finds this recording. I'd hate for the entire galaxy to know what a horrible failure I turned out to be."
