You're fighting a lovesick ghostYou hear a kissing noise coming from behind you. You turn around to find the source, but nothing is there.
Then you hear a kissing noise coming from behind you. This time you're wise to it, so you continue to face the same direction, where you see a ghost.

"You should have taken her hand," it moans, "when you had the chance." You lower your eyes. Ouch!
"You had your shot," it cries. "You had your shot and you were too scared to take it. Imagine how happy you'd be now." You do, and it hurts. Eek!
"What if you made the wrong choice?" it moans. "Would things be better now? Could they be better?" You turn away. Oof!
"She wanted you to kiss her," the ghost moans. "She wanted you to kiss her. It would've been the easiest thing in the world, but you didn't do it." You didn't. You didn't. How could you not. Dammit. Oof!
"The past is past," you say. "What's done is done." You hope you're right.
"It doesn't matter," you say. "If it hadn't been that it'd have been something else."
"When a door closes," you say, "a window opens. Or something. I heard something like that once."
"Every choice I've made up until now has made me who I am," you say. You're not sure who you're trying to convince. (FUMBLE!)

- This monster's graphic references the ghosts (called Boos) of Nintendo's Mario franchise. Although first encountered in Super Mario Bros. 3, their appearance closer resembles their Super Mario World sprites.
