Just Like the Ocean Under the Moon
The jungle that once was your left leg is now completely smooth. You can see all the way up to your crotch, if that's what you're into.
You see a couple of the scabies digging little holes into your leg, trying desperately to replant the hairs you've cut off. You feel little needlepricks of pain in your calf every time they dig, which makes you wonder if on your tiny leg, there's another even tinier you, with tinier scabies digging tinier holes, and . . .
Before you can disappear up your own metaphysical bunghole, though, the scabies finally spot you and rush over. They're carrying shovels and various musical instruments, and they don't look happy.

You explain to the scabies that the hair will grow back on its own, and that they don't have to keep planting hairs one by one. You urge patience and cameraderie, in the spirit of good will that has thus far characterized your symbiotic relationship with them. You remind them that anything worth having is worth waiting for, and that we must all stand strong in these times of adversity, and work to overcome our hardships by pulling together.
Fortunately, scabie senses aren't advanced enough to smell the manure you're spreading, so they cheer and treat you to an impromptu smooth jazz concert. You feel pretty refreshed once it's over.
