Gnauga hide buckler
From TheKolWiki
This is a buckler made from the skin of a vicious gnauga, one of the beasties the gnomes keep for pets/home-defense. Said beasties are neither wee, sleekit, cowrin', nor tim'rous, and neither is this buckler. It's tough business. (In-game plural: gnauga hide bucklers) |

References
- The description text refers to the Robert Burns poem, "To A Mouse", which begins with the lines "Wee, sleeket, cowran, tim'rous beastie,/O, what panic's in thy breastie!" (Burns was an eighteenth-century Scotsman, and wrote in the vernacular. A modern translation of those two lines would be, "Small, sleek, cowering, timorous beast,/O, what panic is in your breast!")
