- The amount of roses gathered after a combat depends on the number of different damage sources used in the combat, between 0 to 9:
- Every combat is worth a minimum of 0-2 roses, distributed randomly.
- Each source of elemental damage is worth +1 rose (max +5).
- Using a combat item is worth +1 rose.
- Having a familiar capable of dealing damage is worth +1 rose.
- Familiar equipment which causes the familiar to deal damage mostly has no effect here. The exception is an Oversized fish scaler, which does seem to work.
- With every source present, you can expect 7-9 roses per combat.
- Using CLEESH, Wand of pigification, or fighting a wandering monster seems to give a maximum of 3 roses regardless of how many requirements you meet.
