Ghost pencil
From TheKolWiki
This is a confusing object. Did a pencil die, and leave this behind? Did somebody die while holding a pencil and this is what came out on the other side? Should you maybe stop asking so many questions about something that's obviously very spooky and dangerous? (In-game plural: ghost pencils) |

Notes
- Ghost pencils are used to add permanent shortcuts to non-combats to the Dreadsylvania map, which is done upon encountering the non-combat in question. These shortcuts are seen only by the person who made the mark and remain across instances, ascensions and clans.
- These shortcuts can not be used if all monsters in the zone have been cleared; they will in that case lead to either the boss non-combat or, if this one too has been slain, simply fail as if one had adventured normally.
- Adding a shortcut consumes the ghost pencil. Since each non-combat can be visited only once per player per Dreadsylvania instance, this means that marking the location of the Dreadsylvanian Village Square requires two instances of Dreadsylvania: one to acquire the pencil and another to mark the location.
- Adding a shortcut does not prevent one from performing another action in that non-combat, though adding it does take an adventure.
