When Used

• If you don't have access to Belowdecks:

You're pretty sure this thing unlocks a gaudy box, but you're not exactly sure where to find a gaudy box right now.

• If you don't have a Talisman o' Namsilat and can get Belowdecks:

You head Belowdecks and root around in the cabins until you find a gaudy box underneath one of the bunks (which, incidentally, has some pretty fancy 500-thread-count sheets on it.) You unlock the box, and find to your delight that it contains one of those weird snake things from your dad's journal. Score! You acquire an item: snakehead charrrm In typical video game fashion, the key vanishes after having been used once.

• If you have 2 snakehead charrrms or a Talisman o' Namsilat:

You head Belowdecks and root around in the cabins until you find a gaudy box underneath one of the bunks (which, incidentally, has some pretty fancy 500-thread-count sheets on it.) You unlock the box, and find nothing but a bunch of useless costume jewelry. In typical video game fashion, the key vanishes after having been used once.

• You need to have the pirate fledges or the Swashbuckling Getup equipped in order to sneak Belowdecks and get a snakehead charrrm.
