You're fighting a Gathering of Angels?In the distance (if that is an accurate phrase for a place where time and space have no meaning), you see what you think is a gathering of angels. As you get closer, though, you see a giant starship behind them. So maybe they're not angels.
"Greetings, adventurer," they say as one. "Come sail away! come sail away, come sail away with us... you guys."
"Umm... no thanks," you say.
"Okay," they respond, "then we'll have to throw down with you."

They take you aboard their ship and do some freaky "experiments" on you. You feel violated and sore in odd places... you know, like your left kidney. Or the back seat of a Volkswagen. Ugh! Argh! Ooh! (sleaze damage)
One of them pulls out some kind of ray gun (you can't tell if its name is "Ronald" or not) and shoots you in the <groin>. It disentregates and rapidly regrows. Ugh! Ouch! Oof!
They spend several minutes beating you mercilessly with sticks. Ooh! Ooh! Ow!
They try to abduct you and experiment on you, but you quickly don a tin-foil hat.
One of them pulls out some kind of ray gun. "Meet Ronald, my ray gun," it says, and shoots you. Fortunately, the gun can't recall how to fire.
They attack you with sticks, but when you point out their spelling error, they get confused. (FUMBLE!)

- This monster counts as a group (of size 11). It takes manifold damage from area-of-effect skills such as Wave of Sauce.

- "Meet Ronald, my ray gun" is a pun on the name of former US President Ronald Reagan, who was known for his poor memory.
- This adventure has many references to the Styx song "Come Sail Away". In addition to the title, lyrics include "A gathering of angels appeared above my head" and "I thought that they were angels / but much to my surprise / they climbed aboard their starship / and headed for the skies".
- The critical hit and fumble messages also reference "sticks" (and the "spelling error" mentioned in the fumble message would be the difference between "sticks" and "Styx").
- Also, the "you guys" at the end references the television show South Park and the Styx song "Come Sail Away", because every time Cartman hears the beginning of the song, he feels compelled to finish it.
- The regrowth of the adventurer's head is a reference to an event depicted in the Men in Black films involving the alien black arms dealer/pawn shop owner Jack Jeebs, who is able to regrow his head after it is shot off.
- The line about being sore in odd places, like "the back seat of a Volkswagen," is a reference to the Kevin Smith movie Mallrats.
