If your Evolving Organism is equipped with a tiny costume wardrobe, it will bypass the 400 exp cap and won't evolve.

Evolves new capabilities every time it reaches 400 xp


Ability: Does elemental damage, restores HP and MP, prevents enemy attacks, adds new abilities or improves an ability every 400 experience.

Throne/Bjorn: Cannot sit in the throne.

Combat Messages
  • Regular messages:
    (if it can block attacks) %fn oozes in between you and your foe and looks helpless. Your foe reconsiders its plans.
    (if it can Hot damage) %fn ramps up their exothermic activity and bumps into your foes for X damage.
    (if it can do Cold damage) %fn bumps against your foe and freezes them for X damage.
    (if it can Stench damage) A terrible scent wafts over to your foe from %fn and overcomes them for X damage.
    (if it can Spooky damage)  %fn's very presence frightens your foe for X damage.
    (if it can Sleazy damage) %fn oozes into your foe for X damage.
    (if it can restore HP) %fn transfers some of their health to you via some sort of cellular interaction.
    HPYou gain some hit points.
    (if it can restore MP) %fn metabolizes some ATP and converts it directly into mystical energy.
    MPYou gain some Mana Points.
  • After reaching 400 XP:
    %fn expends all their experience and evolves a desire to protect others. (gains or improves blocking ability)
    %fn expends all their experience and evolves some sort of exothermic process. (gains or improves Hot attack)
    %fn expends all their experience and evolves the ability to emit a cold aura. (gains or improves Cold attack)
    %fn expends all their experience and evolves a rather noxious odor. (gains or improves Stench attack)
    %fn expends all their experience and evolves the ability to freak people out. (gains or improves Spooky attack)
    %fn expends all their experience and evolves a layer of gross mucus. (gains or improves Sleaze attack)
    %fn expends all their experience and evolves the capability to transfer health. (gains or improves HP restore)
    %fn expends all their experience and evolves a way to convert ATP into mystical energy. (gains or improves MP restore)

  • When entered in Hide and Seek:
    Your familiar has not yet evolved the ability to compete.

Notes

  • After a combat in which your familiar reaches 400 experience, it gains an existing ability and the weight resets to 1 lb, 0 experience.
  • Abilities appear at the top of the terrarium page if you have this familiar out.
Your organism has evolved:

the capability to transfer health (HP regen)
a way to convert ATP into mystical energy (MP regen)
a desire to protect others (prevents enemies from attacking you)
the ability to emit a cold aura (deals Cold Damage)
some sort of exothermic process (deals Hot Damage)
a layer of gross mucus (deals Sleaze Damage)
the ability to freak people out (deals Spooky Damage)
a rather noxious odor (deals Stench Damage)

  • Which ability you get is random. It may take quite some time to attain all eight.
  • You can gain an ability more than once, in which case " (N times)" is added to the end of the description.
  • Evolution resets on Ascension.
