Disco Face Stab

Disco Face Stab

Type: Combat
MP Cost: 8
usable once per fight

This is a vastly improved version of the Disco Eye Poke. Instead of poking your opponent in the eye, you stab him (or her, or it) in the face. This is sure to cause him (or her, or it) some problems.

When used without a knife in inventory or equipped:

You check your pockets for a knife, but you don't have one. You grab a twig off of the ground and jab it into your opponent's face, dealing a measly X damage. You should really get a knife.
or
You do a facestab, but since you don't have a knife, you pretty much just smack your opponent across its face for a piddling X damage. Maybe you should get yourself a knife.
or
You do a vicious facestab with the two first fingers of your hand. It's really more of a facepoke, and it only does X damage. You should probably get a knife.
or

You try to do a vicious facestab, really feeling the knife fever, but it only does X damage because you don't have a knife.

When used with no Disco Momentum:
You cause your opponent to lose X points' worth of face, with the help of your <knife>.

You shout, "in your face," then reveal that you were warning your opponent of where you were about to stab <her> with your <knife> for X damage.
or
You stab your opponent in the face with your <knife>, dealing X damage.
or
You stab your opponents' sense of propriety with your disco moves, then stab <it> in the face with your <knife> for X damage.

Notes

  • This skill will attempt to use the most powerful equippable knife in your inventory, regardless of whether you are currently wielding it. Any stats requirements apply.
  • The damage scales according to both the knife's power and your Disco Momentum level.
  • Stealth Mistletoe used to double the deleveling of this skill, but currently does not.
  • The skill only becomes unusable when it hits the enemy: if it's interrupted (e.g. by Cunctatitis) it can be re-attempted indefinitely until it hits.

Does the DB combat skill weakening bonus work if Frankly Mr. Shank is in the inventory, or only if it is equipped?

History

  • Prior to the Disco Bandit skill revamp on October 21, 2013, this skill cost 10 MP and could be used an unlimited times per fight. Its combat message was:
You stab <him/her/it> in the face. Needless to say, this throws <him/her/it> off a bit, in addition to doing 15-18 damage.
