The familiar's description is almost word-for-word taken from the Ween song "The Mollusk".
Cuttlefish are an order of mollusks in the class cephalopoda (which includes octopuses and squid) having eight arms and two tentacles. This sweater having six arms is probably a play on the long running Jick and Skullhead show joke.
