Notes
- This item was once rare and was hacked from the item database. It was originally planned by Jick either to be a drop at the Castle in The Sky (with its "Wings" effect allowing access to the Hole in the Sky), or to be dropped elsewhere (possibly in the Penultimate Fantasy Airship) with the "Wings" effect allowing access to the Castle: at that time it was a food item, of the "beverage" type - but it was eventually implemented on February 2, 2006, to drop South of The Border, and repurposed as a spleen item.
- Because of its original rarity during its early days as a food, which made it worth a great deal of meat in the mall - and the fact that the "Wings" effect never actually did anything, since the item was abandoned before ever being released - very few people ever actually ate one of these: and even fewer will actually have record of it on their food consumption history, given that some people are known to have obtained and eaten a Red Minotaur before food consumption history was implemented, and thus will have no record of it. However, there may be a few people who actually have a record of having eaten one of these legitimately, and be able thus to set it as their "favourite food" despite the fact that it is no longer a food.
History
- Prior to March 2nd, 2017, this item previously granted 5 turns of Wings and had the following message to go with the effect:
|
You drink the Red Minotaur. It tastes so foul that you become filled with the urge to beat someone.
|
You gain 1 additional PvP fight today. Your back feels weird, too.
|
(You gain 3 Spleen.)
